Had afternoon tea booked. It took a long time for us to be taken to our seats and then for our order to be taken. Having afternoon tea on a 'suitcase' isn't very easy as there isn't enough space for everything. Sandwiches were lovely. The brown bread was delicious and fresgh, but let down by the white bread and the... More

En route to Betws-y-Coed we stopped off in Welshpool for some lunch and came across the lovely Bay Tree Tea Rooms/Restaurant. The service was a little slow but in all fairness we hadn't booked and the place was super busy and I can see why! Firstly, the food/drinks selection is amazing and the ploughman's is the best I've had in... More

Me and my friends went in hoping for a coctail on a Friday evening. We went to the bar and asked for a menu, but were told to take a seat and they would bring them over. All fine. Ten minutes later we were given menus. Fifteen minutes later our order was taken. Ten minutes later my friends coctails were... More

Myself and my Gran come every few months for lunch when I'm on my break at work. I only have an hour but find that always plenty of time when coming here. Food has always been pleasant, I've been 3 or 4 times now and try to have something different each time - there's often specials on and they're usually... More

Went with friends and hubby for a Saturday evening meal, despite the service being a bit slow the place has lots of charm. Food was good, but don't forget to check your bill they got ours wrong three times

After passing this teashop lots of times we finally found time to stop and have a bite to eat and we weren't disappointed. Its quirky but it works, the welsh rarebit is one of the best I've had and the coffee is wonderfully hot. The cakes are homemade although we didn't have any...a good excuse to go back....we saw the... More

The tea room is much bigger than you can see from the outside. There is a good menu, a variety of teas (sorry not a coffee drinker), The service was efficient. We went for lunch but would be nice for tea and cake too. Nice atmosphere.

Randomly came across this restaurant and honestly is a hidden little gem. Very vintage and completely different to any standard restaurant. If you love amazing food and fantastic cocktails you should 100% visit this place.
