I've been coming back to this place now for years and I continued to be impressed both by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. I always opt for the fish which is cut on the premises. The fish is thick...More

I had read a few reviews before using this Chippy. Very mixed. I can only see and review as I find. Ordered fish and chips twice, peas and curry sauce. Took back to my van. We thought both meals were excellent. Filling and plenty of....More

Always excellent and good value - the mini version is perfect for lunch as sizes are quite generous. The fish is very good indeed, often cooked to order.

Wanted a quick supper by the sea. Was very disappointed with our takeaway from this shop. The fish was very overcooked and the chips were hard dry and tasteless.

Was looking for some simple hot food on a Friday night. Mistakenly thought fish and chips would fit the bill. Not so. The breaded plaice was cooked fresh and hot but the chips were cool and chewy and the cod was cold and tasteless. Should...More

Agree, there is no consistency with the chip shop in preparation. If they sorted out a good quality batter and decent fish size - then they would improve their custom. You would expect better at a seaside take away.
