We stayed overnight here as a base for Zipworld in Bethesda but I'm not sure I'd stay here again. It was fine; but at £115 for a large room it was a bit overpriced. The decor is better than a Premier Inn but it felt a bit tired. The chairs had stains on them and one of them had just... More

This meal started so well. Lovely prompt service, we were seated at 12:30, beautiful surroundings and great main courses. Drinks orders taken and everyone loved their high quality food. We all envied everyone else dishes, curry, pies, fish, all delicious. Then the service disappeared. after 15 minutes of sitting with dirty plates we went to find a waitress who came... More

My fiance and I booked a table here for dinner while we were in town for a weekend getaway. Honestly? It's your typical pub food. Rather bland and boring like most other UK pubs. We chose this place on a recommendation from the person at the B&B we were staying at. She described it as pub food but to a... More

Went with family and the food was great. We had the 7oz burgers, how they get the burger so moist and the bun so light yet the outside crispy, even the salad was nice and the chunky chips were lovely. My wife really enjoyed her fish and chips and a good time was had by all. The servings were huge... More

Lovely food, and reasonably priced, friendly with superb views of the Menai straits, with mature shrubs and trees sitting in their garden watching the world go by, what a lovely evening we all had, group of 6.

A reasonably price eatery spoiled by very poor service. The food was OK but nothing special. We would not eat here again.

My wife and I decided to stop for dinner and we ordered a mussels starter as a main course and a steak for myself. The mussels arrived but they had not communicated that the steak was part of the same main meal order. I then had to wait 10 minutes extra while they hurriedly cooked my meal. The chips were... We paid a visit to the Anglesey Arms for an evening meal in early July. At 7pm on a Saturday evening the bar and restaurant were understandably busy - particularly with an evening wedding party in the function suite. Having booked a table the previous evening (recommended) we were seated on time in a favourable part of the restaurant. The... More
