We were in Cemaes Bay for just one night and consulted Trip Advisor to find somewhere to eat. The fish and chip shop was top but didn't fancy that so went to the Stag Inn, which was number two. First disappointment was that neither of the draught beers were avaiable. Second, the young lady behind the bar managed to serve... More

Chip shop close was our lucky day. We had a lovely lunch of beef and turkey, carrots, peas, cauliflower, cabbage, brochelli, yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and a tangy gravy. The staff were very friendly and you felt a valued customer. Went back for another drink later in the day it was that good. Well recommended.

This is a lovely quaint pub. The furthest northerly pub in Wales. We absolutely love it. Good for Walkers, people with dogs, and anyone who likes a good pint and a nice meal .They often have live music with folk music players. At times, it's like an advert for Visit Wales!

Many thanks once again to Keith and co (not least the great chef Jo) for another great few days in Cemaes Bay. You can't beat the food and the entertainment is first class. I recommend a visit to anyone travelling there.

Beer pleasant but unorganised chaos for food service at Sunday lunchtime. Although a table for Sunday lunch in the lounge area had been booked the previous day, on arriving there appeared to be no record of the booking and our party was put in the 'games' room. Very unsatisfactory loud music to start with and then large screen football! We... More

There were seven of us, five adults and two under sixes. Excellent beer, delicious food all round and superb service. We would definitely go back when in the area again. Highly recommended.

The landlord was away and perhaps the measure of an organisation is how it runs when then leadership is not present? Oh my God! The food was truly awful! After dodging the local (very) drunks, we took our (sticky) table and the hostess was lovey and at the same time over-worked. Being early season the menu was chalkboard only and... More

Popped in for a quick drink. Dog friendly and very kind staff. Went back for a evening meal as not places allow dogs in where you can eat. Food was a fair price. Good size portion. The pub itself looks tired in certain places and needs a face lift but overall its a charming public house
