I never leave reviews but… oh my goodness. We have been to lost sheep a handful of times now as we’re local to Abersoch. Wether it’s a date night, or a family meal. Lost sheep is where we always end up. Led and Team have really put a lot of time and effort into their product research and it really shows. The steaks are undeniably the best around. The chicken wings are a force to be reckoned with. It’s the first time I’ve come away from a meal and could rave about every single thing I’ve tried, down to the chips! Ohhh those chips are something else. The staff are always cheerful, the service is always fast, the place has a great chilled out vibe about it. And believe it or not ITS ACTUALLY REASONABLY PRICED. Which is hard to find in Abersoch as most places you end up spending 3 times what you should for a Harlech frozen foods meal, (no offence Harlech). The team are all clearly passionate about what they do and it translates in the exceptional service and quality of food. That’s it. That’s the review. If you don’t go, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Keep smashing it team LS.

The restaurant is very stylish and comfortable and set out to not feel cramped whilst your eating. We were attended by a lovely waitress who was prompt with our orders, recommended sauces depending on our likes and humoured our questions. The food was delicious and very well presented. The meat fell off the ribs and melted in your mouth and the bbq sauce complimented them wonderfully. The kick ass gravy was incredible and the steaks looked and tasted amazing. Overall a very enjoyable evening which we hope to repeat very soon!

The menu is pretty limited but they know what they are good at, and between us we ordered ribs, wings, steaks and burgers and everything was excellent. My wife had the Wagyu fillet and it was cooked to perfection. A fabulous new option in Abersoch and great that you can book in the morning which gives everyone a chance. We went for my wife’s birthday and everyone made us feel really welcome - all the team were friendly and we would definitely go back! Highly recommended…

After reading such good reviews I expected better but this place was pretty ba. Food was extremely poor, 3 of us ordered burgers which were very dry and tasted packet bought. The chips were tasteless and below average. The ‘side salad’ consists of 2 pieces of lettuce with a drizzle of olive oil. The wings are tiny and can be eaten in one bite. More like a kids meal size portion. Not to mention the price! Burger was £20 which came with chips which is quite expensive considering how average it tasted, you can get a better tasting burger in Wetherspoons. I understand that the area in which the restaurant is a hot spot for tourists in the warmer months but if your going to charge £20 for a burger it has to be pretty amazing and this frankly wasn’t. The ‘cocktails’ are £9 each which I guess is pretty standard.. We ordered margaritas which tasted like a juice mix with no alcohol whatsoever in them. I’m pretty sure these to came out a premix and were not made fresh at the bar. Service was also really bad , waiter kept forgetting to check on us and then half cleared our table after the wings for starters to stop and talk to a colleague behind the bar. We had to call him back over to finish clearing the table. Overall the whole experience wasn’t good and I wouldn’t really recommend.

Came in for a meal with family, the food was a mixed bag, steaks were wrong- 2 rib eyes and 1 sirloin rather than 2 sirloins 1 rib eye. They had a burnt appearance which was a bit off putting and 2 of the 6 were very thin . We got rushed off the table before we had finished ( 1.5 hours into the booking with no warning they intended to do so - they just brought us the bill !) . 10% service charge was added to the bill which we thought was out of order considering they were shepherding us out of the door when we had barely finished eating.

We visted the Lost Sheep on Saturday evening at 6pm and parked next to two other cars on the forecourt of the premises. We had a small car so plenty of room and not blocking anything. The owner/manager rushed out to say we couldn’t park there. I tried to explain we had a reservation with them. He said we couldn’t park in front of the gate. While my partner went to find alternative parking, I went into the restaurant and explained I had a reservation for 6 people. I was shown to the table. The other members of our party then turned and parked in the same space we had just vacated. Again the manger rushed out and said they couldn’t park there (they had 2 children). He said the space was reserved for people picking up takeaways. If this was the case then a sign on the fencing/gate should point this out. Rather than having to rush out and accost your clientele. The whole evening got off the a very uncomfortable start. The waitresses were very good and tried to be friendly. The food did not make up for the bad start either. It is overpriced for what you getvehich is a mediocre steak or burger. The loval workman stood at the bar eating his burger didn’t really add to the atmosphere either. It’s safe to say we won’t be going back. There are far nicer places to eat in Abersoch which offer much better customer service

This place was recommended by a friend,so we went online, and saw an advert for tues night steak night at £30 per person,so we phoned up and booked for the following night, with it being a Tues. When we got seated,we overheard the waitress saying to other customers it was steak night and it was £35 per head. I actually questioned this before my bill, with a staff member, explaining it was not only advertised, for £30 when I booked, but it was also still £30 on the board outside. He told me everything had gone up in price and didn't honour the £30,and asked if we enjoyed it, and said it was still good value. The food was nice, and we enjoyed it,but think if you advertise something, you should honour it. He also said, he gets enough custom anyway,so didn't seem bothered that we questioned it. Also 10% service charge is automatically added. I will not be returning,or recommending,as there are plenty of other places,to eat in and around Abersoch

Mixed review. Ordered ribs and wings which were spot on but also ordered steak which was supposed to come with salad and chips and a choice of sauce, I ordered garlic butter and I received what seemed like a bowl of oil. The steak was very fatty and oily and the chips were greasy and over cooked. The salad, was just limp rocket and a little lettuce, not really a salad. The steak meal was £22, a price certainly not represented in the quality of food. I have to say the service was great and the lady who served us was lovely. Just a shame the food did not match. The Lost Sheep’s tagline of “the only steak house on the peninsular serving prime cuts” does not seem warranted; they may be prime (ish) cuts but the accompaniments are far from top class.

First of all I want to say that this is a genuine and honest review. Nobody did anything wrong, we have no issue or grudge with the restaurant…..I never really review things, but this was so bad I feel like I need to review it and give people the chance to avoid it. My sister recommended the restaurant to me after visiting last year - she lives in London and said it was amazing. We visited tonight. I would give it two stars, one for the drinks and one for the staff who tried their best The food was appalling. My 8 year old son said the buffalo wings were tasteless and the steak (he had an adults sirloin medium rare) tasted like pepper and burn. He had it spot on. The (buffalo) wings arrived a pale yellow colour - no sauce and no taste at all. Really bad, inedible. Totally awful All steaks came out cooked and tasting the same - burnt. The chips were soggy and tasteless. Considering it’s mean to be a steak restaurant and pretty much only served wings and steak we were just shocked. Even the Mac and cheese was disgusting and tasteless. We have had better in a cheap chain restaurant I kept saying to my husband that I wanted to stop all the people coming in and warn them. 55 minutes later and the bill comes in at £160. A really bad experience. Please don’t waste a night of your holiday or your money until they improve things. It really really was awful.

2020 and 2021 have been exceptional years for the hospitality industry, so I will skirt around the difficulty in booking a table (despite the “rules” stated on Fakebook, turn up in person as early as you can to secure a table) or the fact that we had to sit outside right next to the road. At least the rain held off… It’s about the food. Positives: tasty, high quality steaks and veggie options. Negatives: portion sizes of sides aren’t big enough to share, pricey, no desserts (yet?), getting kicked off the outside table at 21:00 (presumably a licensing requirement), no local beers, getting a booking (which is hard anywhere due to difficult supply and huge demand). Will return for sure at some point, ideally out of season when things calm down…

I stumbled across this by chance whilst in Abersoch, and what a nice find it turned out to be. We arrived at 11ish and was over the moon to find fillet steak and eggs on the breakfast/ brunch menu! I was also pleased that I could enjoy it with a few pints and the wife had Prosecco, a nice little treat whilst on holiday. The kids had an awesome stack of pancakes with chocolate and strawberries which went down a treat for them too so everyone was happy. I love the vibe in here with the banksy art, and stickers/ lighting. We’ll be back soon for the same sitting, and we would also love to try the Tomahawk steak sometime soon.

I came here and was blown away. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive, especially James. I’d like to make special mention to James as he was so welcoming and also incredibly handsome. I had the waygu steak, medium rare which was cooked brilliantly by the owner “Ned” the music was awesome with relaxed reggae vibe. I can’t wait to come back again and cannot wait too see the staff again. Especially James, he was amazing and I cannot wait to see him again. Thank you Lost Sheep!

Where to start and how to explain just how exceptional this small hidden gem is perfect location superb service staff friendly with a really personal touch the food literally is 5 star plus. We had chicken wings to start fillet and ribye steak both were cooked to perfection portion size for everything was spot on could not of asked for anything more just beautifully cooked. Super easy to book which in Abersoch is a breath of fresh air and you can also just go and sit outside for cocktails which were also superb we will most definitely be back with the whole family thank you lost sheep see you again soon 😀

We were in Abersoch in late January, and had planned to have food at Mañana...but they weren't open. We therefore had to chance (early on a Saturday evening) there'd be availability elsewhere. Seeing how popular Lost Sheep was the night before, we weren't sure they'd be able to squeeze us in. We were greeted by a friendly chap, and they could seat us! Burgers and steaks are what they specialise in, with really high quality wagyu beef. I opted for the mac 'n' cheese burger, which was really good, all washed down with a pint of Camden Pale. Brilliant! We'll be sure to go back next time we're in the area.

We went with friends who had enjoyed their previous visits to the Lost Sheep . The staff were plentiful and welcoming. We were soon advised the fillet steaks had sold out which is a strange one considering the menu is so small and steak focused . We ordered three sirloins and one full rack of ribs . The steaks were disappointing at least one third grizzle and very chewy. Served with some soggy chips and leaves …The ribs were very good We did advise one of the servers with little response . Overall we’re very underwhelmed with what we received for £158 for 4 .
