Went for Sunday lunch. All exceeded expectation for the price. Would go at least monthly if I lived closed. I am not a fish person but ordered place and it was the best I have ever had. Wine extensive and reasonably priced. Is Sunday is...More

We eat here regularly and always have an excellent meal. What we particularly like is its lack of pretension, nothing blingy here! The menu is always interesting and often includes dishes that are hard to find elsewhere - sweetbreads, calves liver, pigs trotters. Plenty of...More

We were a party of 6 and enjoyed a six-course tasting menu at Tyddyn Llan. The food was very nice and we loved the seabass. The service was a bit awkward in the beginning, when we were seated in the lounge area for aperetifs and...More

We are becoming regular annual visitors; lured up to North Wales by the countryside, activities and the food at Tyddyn LLan! Thanks again to Bryan, Sue and all the staff for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Food excellent, as usual! Thanks

Superb food, warm welcome in relaxing comfort surroundings. Owner Chef, Mitchelin Star awarded, a family affair with his wife Susan to welcome and guide through a fabulous menu and wine list.

A very nice old hunting lodge, which has been turned into a high end restaurant with rooms. The meal was acceptable, neither excellent nor wanting. The service when we visited was reasonable, with some inexperienced staff. The price of the meal was reasonable, given the...More

Reading other reviews I get the feeling that we have visited a different establishment! If this is an example of a Michelin starred restaurant then the rating system leaves something to be desired. Food was very average; we had the tasting menu which was really...More

We had a leisurely lunch opting for the 6 course tasting menu & enjoyed every mouthful. On a sunny summer's day we had canapés outside on the terrace before heading indoors for the rest of the meal. Great food, wine, service & ambience. Highly recommended.

Rewriting a review as I completed one for the Tyddyn Llyn as a hotel but didn't stay there this time. Wonderful experience in every way. We shall definitely be returning!

We stayed in Tyddyn Llan hotel which I reviewed; but of course we were very keen to dine in the restaurant which since our last visit had acquired a star Michelin. We were horrified, and could not understand why they had a rating of 2...More

Hi, I don't know of anywhere handy nearby. However, as the owner is always so very helpful, and as they are not able to provide your accomodation, I am sure that they will be pleased to reccommend to you somewhere very... More
