Old school building, with old movies playing on the back wall. Everything we had was very tasty! Super friendly service as well made this a great experience. My wife had the "Famous" grilled cheese and LOVED it. One of the best she's had away from making them herself. I was also very pleased w my grilled chicken sandwich. Very good.

Had a great Saturday brunch with family. Nice atmosphere downtown. Good service. Eggs Benedict and frittatas were excellent. The bloody Mary's there are also very good. Plenty of GF options. Typical downtown parking issues so we usually Uber.

Went there for dinner with the family while traveling in Memphis for a few days and enjoyed the evening. Shannon our server was attentive but not over bearing. Loved the artichoke dip, wine selection and option for a full bar. Enjoy the large screen where an old Humphrey Bogart movie was playing.... Great food, great service, nice menu options and... More

We arrived late into Memphis and weren't sure what would be open on a Thurs night. Reviewing TripAdvisor for restaurants we settled on this one. Our Uber got us there at 9:45. They closed at 10 but welcomed us in. My husband and I both had salads- mine was the Waldorf and was delicious- especially the spicy walnuts. The Lemon... More

A very nice place for lunch or dinner. The setting is nicely done and there is a large movie screen playing silent movies throughout dinner. The staff are pleasant and the food was great.

The restaurant had a lively food and plentiful choices. We had the private room in the back for a business dinner. Service was a little slow but it was a large group.

Lunch. Or, to be more precise, Sunday brunch. Much of the menu was very breakfasty. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but just not what we wanted. A basket of biscuits arrived almost as soon as we’d sat down. Really good biscuits – light as you like. A grilled ham and cheese sandwich was as you’d expect – a fairly... More

We loved this restaurant so much we went 2 nights in a row. The food was absolutely delicious and really good quality. The restaurant itself is beautiful setting and the service was very good. A highlight of our few days in Memphis.

The Majestic Grille was great, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was, however, a little pricey. My sister has a gluten allergy, so we were limited to what restaurants could accommodate her. The Majestic said yes of course, which many restaurants said a flat out no. So, if you have to be gluten free in Memphis... More

Description
While dining at The Majestic Grille you might expect to see Myrna Loy & William Powell sitting at the bar, zinging witty one-liners at each other over ice-cold martinis. Originally built in 1913 as the Majestic No. 1, a silent picture house that entertained Memphians for three decades, the restaurant gives diners a glimpse of the heady Hollywood days of ol'. From the beautifully restored Beaux Arts décor to expertly prepared classic cocktails to warm, gracious service to Chef/Owner Patrick Reilly's award wining, yet remarkably comfortable food, you find yourself feeling transported to another time. Add to that the largest private movie screen in the city showing silent films & classic movies and you're center stage in an atmosphere that reclaims the cinematic glory of the dawn of the silver screen. Named Best Restaurant, Best Brunch and Best Chef, The Majestic Grille has won accolades in regional and national press. As a community gathering spot for the Arts, The Majestic Grille offers up a dining experience that delights all the senses! Whether sipping a mimosa at our 'Ultimate' Sunday Brunch, hosting a business dinner in a private room, or watching the trolley roll by on our beautiful patio, we invite you to join us for a special dining experience in our historic downtown location. We look forward to seeing you soon, Deni & Patrick Reilly
