We stopped in on a cold Sunday night after we found out the Jazz Orchestra wouldn't be playing at another venue down the street and had low expectations because the place was dead... However, we had a so much fun listening to the live music, drinking local beer and eating some pub food! I would definitely recommend.

Of course not trip to Memphis is complete without a walk down Beale Street. Sitting right on the corner is this restaurant. TK was our server and she was awesome. What a nice, sweet young lady. The chicken fingers were huge and hot. We were full after the meal and the price was very reasonable.

Considered a must visit on Beale street when in Memphis. The place has a $3 cover charge but the music is great. Drinks are okay. There's a door inside that connects to the Blue Hall next door. Amazing music there as well.

Unique interior. Guitars from performers autographed and hung from the ceiling. The Alligator Gumbo was good. The BBQ baloney sandwich looked disgusting but seems to be popular. The folks we were with ordered it and had ordered it before. Bathrooms were , well, don't touch anything and if there was a crowd, expect a wait. Tight quarters but, no one... More

My wife and I just stopped in for lunch, no live music playing. Rum Boogie has the best fried catfish around.

Literally the cornerstone of Beale Street, Rum Boogie Cafe features the music that other clubs merely claim to be all about. Blues, Soul, and a little Rock & Roll are the staples here, served up by some of Memphis' greatest artists. The menu features excellent catfish, gumbo, and barbecue.

We were there early and saw a couple playing guitar and bongos who were very entertaining. Great atmosphere. We just had a drink but we enjoyed it.

This is where we spent the evening on our first night in Memphis and it set the tone for our truly magical time in the city. There are so many options to choose from on Beale Street but the size of the venue and the extensive menu is what drew us in. We paid our $3 cover charge and sat... More
