We happened upon King's Palace and were warmly welcomed to sit, enjoy the music and eat some great BBQ. We started with Fried Green tomatoes, which were delicious. Perfectly friend and seasoned. My main dish was BBQ ribs and pork with a side of coleslaw. The BBQ sauce was fantastic and the pork was very tender and juicy. I really... More

Good place to go for dinner for two that won't break the bank. A platter for two of chicken breast(2), catfish filets(2), fried green tomatoes(4), cup of sausage gumbo and shrimp/crawfish etouffee for $30 was worth it. Everything was tasty except for the catfish was lacking in seasoning but not terrible.

We ate at King's Palace Cafe before a Grizzlies game on Saturday, March 18. Put in our name outside, told 15 minute wait. We came back in 15 minutes and the guy was confused, but we finally showed him he already had us down. He said he would take us in. There were many, many unclean tables all over the... More

This is quite a large restaurant, but a little quieter than some nearby bars and restaurants. A solo performer entertains with guitar playing and good blues songs. The staff are very polite, and the food good southern American, plus some Italian.

I visited with a bachelorette party and it was a night I'll never forget! The food was good, the drinks were flowing, but the music and dancing.....unforgettable! The band had a great swing beat and we had a blast!

I am not sure what is in Gumbo, and I have never made this, but sometimes after going up and down Beale Street for enough evenings, a craving develops that I cannot explain anymore than I can figure out what is in there. I know what it is - it is satisfaction served with a proper crust of bread for... More

While walking around Beale Street at noon and making time for our night flight to Atlanta, we decided to have a quick lunch and found this place had lasagna as it's lunch special so we decided to go in. It was a Monday afternoon so only another couple was there having lunch. It wasn't until I opened the menu that... More
