Had a very nice meal at McEwen's. The sea scallops were excellent and very good service. No issues at all.

I go almost once a week with a colleague for lunch. Even though it is crowded they manage to not keep you waiting too long but at the same time you don't feel rushed when eating. I usually get either the Jungle Salad with Chicken or the Roast Beef Sandwich. The service is quick and friendly and lunch is very... More

I always enjoy McEwens and tonite was no exception. The dinner special was pan seared grouper over house made basil laminated pasta with sugar snap peas, charred spring onion, and sweet peppers in a brown butter herb sauce and roast red bell pepper coulis and wilted spinach. Besides the wonderful food, the staff was attentive and friendly even with a... More

I loved everything about this place. The staff were all superb, very friendly. The wiseacre beer on draft was excellent. I didn't eat food but it smelled great. I visited every night of my trip. It was by far the best bar I visited in memphis,. I loved the place.

We ate at McEwen's last week. Great atmosphere. Our server, Melissa, was wonderful. I had the pan seared sea scallops and my wife had crab cakes. It was a great meal--maybe the best I had in Memphis. Will definitely eat here again next time we are in Memphis!

My wine club went here for our meeting. The wine list was great. We enjoyed a bottle of Syrah. The small plates were delicious and the setting was casual and comfortable. I will return.

Friendly, warm, and great service. Started out with Warm Wild Mushroom Salad Roasted Mushrooms, Spring Mix, Spiced Walnuts, Gorgonzola Cheese, Walnut Balsamic Vinaigrette ...a great dish for the season. With a nice red wine it was lovely. My waiter was not lying when he said that the "Creole Spice Braised Pork Osso Buco with Stone Ground Cheddar Grits and Spicy... More

Had a short wait because of no reservation but it was worth it!! Enchiladas to start- delicious!! I think next time, I'll consider making them my entree. For our entrees; the Sea Bass- perfectly cooked and accompanied- and a New York Strip. Plates were empty when we were done (except maybe a little left from the New York Strip plate-... More

This restaurant screamed Old Memphis. From the historic building to the clientele (clearly the majority on lunch break from work or having business meetings), McEwen’s certainly appears to be a downtown fixture. The cuisine is Southern fare, from a deconstructed chicken pot pie to fried okra. The food was very good and the service average. It was busy, but not... More

This may very well be the best Osso Buco I have ever had. If you are in this area and looking for something you will not forget, you should definitely try McEwen's.
