I had been hearing all about the fried avocado for a long time when my buddy finally made reservations for dinner for our friend group and I ordered the avocado, now I can't stop thinking about it! Cool ambience, live music, southern at its best.

Great food and great atmosphere! My mom and I ate here after attending a musical at the Orpheum, it was a block away and right on Beale.

Itta Bena is on the third floor of BB King's restaurant. You have to go through the fire door and then up another flight of stairs and step into a very romantic setting with exceptional food. The service was very good too!

You really have to look for this place, as its up an unmarked fire escape! Worth tracking down though and food excellent, even if the service is a little slow. We went on a relatively quite night, and easily got a table overlooking Beale Street...More

I paid a lot to eat here, because it had great reviews. The space was kind of tired. And the food was just okay. I had shrimp and grits, which were actually good. My daughter had a duck and waffle thing that was terrible. Seriously...More
