Such a beautiful location and the food matched it perfectly! We met with family to go out for a walk and this was our fourth time here. They have a new menu and whilst I loved the food before, the new choices are brilliant! Between our group of 6 we had the Venison and chocolate chilli, the avocado salad, the... More

Beautiful setting, very friendly young waiting on staff but....food service incredibly slow and food not good. There were only a few in the cafe at the time but we waited over a half an hour for our order of jacket potatoes and then the potatoes were almost cold. We did complain and did receive a discount but would rather have... More

Dear Carol, We are sorry your baked potato was a bit cold, think it was tuna if i remember right. We just started a new cook that very day and she was just finding her feet. She was horrified when she found out your jacket potato was too cold for you and was very sorry! We did give you a... More

We went there before a walk in the mountains. Best place in the surrounding and very close to the motorway. The dresscode of the servant good be better (plenty of stains). The meals were fresh made. The price of the food budget friendly. No alcohol served.

We visited here for a short time on route to glasgow. We just stopped for a quick coffee and a snack. The restaurant surroundings are lovely, quirky with the chance to buy some novel gifts which appeared local and home made. The food (scone and coffee cake) was evidently home made and fresh. It was just a bit bland to... More

Damien, We do bake all our own cakes and all our food is freshly cooked and sourced from suppliers such as Winston Churchill, Simon Howie and Puddledub. Our coffee has had great reviews in the past, as it's from a Scottish company Rocco who are based in Glasgow. An amazing Scottish Italian family. I'm so sorry you felt it was... More

Stopped here for a coffee while out on a day trip. We had our dog and worried about being able to find somewhere that would allow him in, but the staff were so welcoming! We had a great cup of coffee and some cake. The staff loved having Sammy (dog) there and he got alot of love from everyone. Amazing... More

The food was overpriced for what it was (half bowl of soup, a panini and 1 drink costing over £10!!). Table service was poor, gave me the wrong juice and soup. Staff friendly yet awkward... Such a shame for such a nice part of Loch Lomond.

We didn't eat in the cafe as we more interested in the tourist information area. Film on view giving interesting tourist facts.

Visited November 2016 as this was the first time I visited Luss. Full of excitement looking for a place to eat and drink. We entered Purdie's whereupon I stumbled on something that I did not recognise and I thought it was one of the toys from the shop.Upon picking it up I said to the owner I" think this has... More

I was not aware the family run cafe here would house a dog so close to the food, with its chewy toys strewn across the floor upon entry, to which my guest almost twisted an ankle due to standing on one these. A surprise and just not what I expected in a catering establishment. The dog was in a cage... More

We are sorry to hear you did not like your visit to our cafe. We are a dog friendly cafe and lots of tourists and locals alike use this facility. I do however see by your message that not all customers like dogs within the cafe and i shall take this on board. I am sorry to hear the puppy... More

The location is great and staff are helpful, not so sure about the gluten free options. Proprietor likes dogs.

Description
Our cafe prides itself in its fresh homemade cakes and scones with specialty coffees and teas. We are open all year except January. We sell homemade bloomer bread sandwiches and fresh homemade soups. In the summer months we double the choice of cakes and food ranging from fish and chips all the way to venison. We have our own gift shop selling some unusual gifts. We provide take away coffee or meals to eat by the beach on the banks of Loch Lomond. Our toilets are easily accessible and wheelchair friendly and available to patrons only. We are dog friendly and even have our own resident dog named Toby.
