Ate here on our first night of walking The West Highland Way. We decided to eat in the bar as we wanted to take our two dogs with us and even tho the pub looked very unassuming, we were in for a surprise. It was jam packed with happy walkers so we ordered the beef bourguignon and the chicken schnitzel/breaded... More

Coming in off the West Highland way into Drymen, it is one of a few choices to be made in eateries. Nice people, tiny building, like all the other places up in this area. Service was fair and the food was average. Nothing impressive but nothing not good about the operation either. Just that nothing stood out. It is cool... More

We stopped here for lunch on our day out. I had not been here for some time. Born in Drymen I have known The Clachan for over 60yrs. We had an excellent pub lunch. It was fairly busy with local clients also there.Prices were pretty average and the food was excellent. We will be back.

Visiting locally on business and stopped here for lunch. Good choice. staff are friendly and helpful. Nice quiet restaurant, with a great selection of good Bar Food. Selections quickly made and drinks brought. The foot when it arrived, looked good, was piping hot and very tasty at reasonable prices on a very busy part of the West Highland Way. Looks... More

We had a few beers in the bar area, which was warm and cosy with friendly locals happy to chat with foreigners, before going into the restaurant which was fully booked on a Monday night. My main meal was described as pork with a mushroom sauce was extremely salty and was more like a gammon steak than a piece of... More

Visited while staying in Drymen as part of my tour of the West Highland Way. Food was delicious and I highly recommend getting a special. It's a great way to try a unique flavor. Please note that several parties were turned away because they did not have a booking. Be sure to call ahead to get a table.

We booked a table for four, which was a good job as the place was bouncing. Three of us had mussels for starters. They were top notch. I had a special from the board. Smoked pork loin with pepper sauce. Also very good. Scampi and burgers went down well too. Enjoyed a nice bottle of SA Red. Bitter selection was... More
