My first time in the Clachan and it won't be the last. It was such a friendly place. My cousin and myself were made so welcome and were asked if we wished the fire put on - such a change from the usual place we ate when in Drymen. Service and staff were excellent.

We were in drymen during our scotland holiday and searched for something to drink and eat. We found the Pub and we loved it. Drinks were tasty and we enjoyed the food. The best was the owner of the clachan. He came to our table and asked where we come from. He was very kind and helped us to find... More

We had a great dinner here. Even though the inn was very busy the staff handled it very well and we didn't have to wait too long. Good food!

Whether this pub is actually the oldest in Scotland or not, it is well worth a visit. The food was phenomenal - particularly the haggis starter, which I was initially hesitant to try but found that I quite liked it! I had the rosemary lamb pie, which was fantastic. The bartender talked us through several whiskies to try, and her... More

Food was plentiful and tasty with the haggis-stuffed chicken a hit. Snug little venue which ticks all the boxes

My friend and I were staying in the nearby Drymen Inn where we received a welcome fit for royals. So we were disappointed at the atmosphere in the Clachan. Maybe they just didn't get our banter but most of the locals were a bit reserved to be polite. And when we left to have a cigarette outside the barman was... More
