Popped in on our way home for lunch. What a fab place to have lunch! The oldest pub in Scotland serving great food. A lovely menu, good portions and friendly staff. I'd definitely visit again and make sure it's before 1 as it suddenly got very busy! No wonder, it's great.

I have visited the Clachan many times. It is a cosy little country pub with a separate restaurant, which serves really nice food. It is not 5*, haute cuisine but the menu is good and there should be something for everyone there. A range of Scottish food is available including lamb and venison and this is supplemented by their specials... More

As a whole the food is fantastic.. but after a certain time of day you can't book a table..you have to sit and wait and accrue a bar tab .. the waitress on our visit was appalling..but the food made up for a l9ng and tiring wait for our food

So we've been to the Clachan a few times but never reviewed it. On arrival myself and children had to walk through a cloud of smoke from 4 smokers hogging the entrance. We got in breath held, a pretty hopeless young boy eventually got us a table. The food was fine, my son got a pepperoni pizza which he had... More

A warm fire and an even warmer welcome make for a great place to pass the time or eat your fill. A must for a cold evening! (Or any evening come to that!)

We stopped in here for a pub lunch on the way to Balmaha and were glad we did. The place has a classic ‘old pub’ feel to it - but in a nice way. There are no fruit machines and all the bar fly locals are kitted out in their Sunday best. We sat at a table next to the... More

We were visiting Scotland for a combined Trossachs House Party/Burns' Night weekend and staying in the nearby Winnock Hotel. Fancying a change to the hotel bar and not wanting to venture too far in the Scottish rain, we ran across to the Clachan Inn. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment, but on a cold and wet Scottish... More
