If you are ever in the area you must visit this place . We had breakfast there this morning- my husband had the “All day breakfast ciabatta “ and I had the “Sir Douglas “ Beautifully presented and extremely fresh . No complaints whatsoever. Only wish we lived nearer !

I think I must have put my previous recent review on an older page for this cafe as I can't see it here. Anyway I had ended that review saying I couldn't wait to go back & that's exactly what I did today. Another fantastic lunch! I just love it! We had the soup which today was tomato, beetroot & paprika. Not being a fan of beetroot, I was a bit anxious that I wouldn't enjoy the soup but I absolutely LOVED it. We also enjoyed the delicious foccaccia bread. My mum and brother followed it with cake and cappuccino (both raved about their choices) while I enjoyed a lovely cup of tea. This is a wonderful place to come! Lovely family business.

This cafe is a jewel that sits a few miles outside of the town of Kirriemuir. It has become one of our favourite places to eat. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is delicious. It is a fixed seasonal menu but the food is different from the normal cafe's in the area. The main courses are delicious and the home-baked cakes are so tasty especially the rich homemade carrot cake. This is indeed one of our favourites in fact it is nice to take some home with you 😁 One if the most dog friendly cafés we have visited with the dogs getting as big a welcome as the humans. Keep up the good work and look forward to our next visit 😍

My good lady and I called at the cafe for lunch. It was not overly busy, and the sun was shining. I ensured my disabled wife was safe in an outdoor seat and went to the kiosk to get some menu's. I asked the person behind the desk what the soup of the day was and was told it was mushroom and wild garlic. I returned to my wife and we selected our lunch. I returned to the kiosk and advised what we wanted only to be told that I had to return to my seat and our order would be taken. We then sat for 25 minutes whilst the girl at the kiosk stood doing little or nothing often looking in our direction. An older woman ( perhaps the owner) seemed to be delivering instructions to the girl at the kiosk and again frequently stared in our direction. Another couple came in and sat at the table opposite us, and the girl brought them some menu's. She then came over to us and asked if we were wanting anything. I explained she had already refused our order at the kiosk and told me to take a seat. She then said that Ann (The owner?) had instructed her to tell us that I had to place my order at the kiosk. I have no idea what the internal problems were but when I go out for lunch I expect some form of service. As a disabled person myself using a walking stick I don't expect to be shuffled from pillar to post to simply order my lunch. I don't expect to sit so long without being served when staff are standing around doing very little. I always try to be very fair to hospitality venues when reviewing the service on offer but I remain confused as to why we had to suffer such glaringly shocking customer service?

Stopped in after a walk round the Loch. The food was unbelievable, would recommend the Scuffin and the Sir Douglas and the cakes were gorgeous, especially the Blueberry and Courgette one! The system they have in place to keep staff and customers safe in the current climate is spot on. Can’t wait to visit again.

What a beautiful cafe in a magnificent setting. I seem to be hitting gold these days. Albeit you do have to sit outside. They have outside heating and substantial seating area (covered as well). Dog friendly. Well managed in the current conditions. You go up to give your order. Sit down and when it is ready the staff let you know and leave it on a table which you pick up at. The food was freshly prepared and very reasonably priced. Good selection as well. I would like to congratulate your staff who were very professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend and will return soon. Thank you for a great experience.

We visited The Wee Bear Cafe today for the first time at the recommendation of some friends. We struggle to eat out because of severe food allergies so I rang a few days before and got a lovely response from the person I spoke to. She was a credit to the place and spent a few minutes checking what we could have. She was determined that we would be provided for and it was so reassuring. So today we went for lunch. What a lovely, warm and friendly place. We met Wee Bear himself and we had a delicious lunch, with - most importantly for us, no worries over reactions. The range of lunch options and delicious cakes are superb. Fabulous location too. But most obvious, and to their credit, great staff. Thank you so much. We will be back. 😁

2 adults, 1 child in a wheelchair and the dog all thought this was a lovely little place. Lots of outdoor but sheltered seating and indoor options available too. Food (vegan and non vegan) was delicious as was the cake. Service was very welcoming and friendly.

We both loved our visit to Wee Bear Cafe. Both of the young waitresses who served us were extremely friendly and helpful! The decor in the cafe is perfect and the food was really delicious! If you're in the area, this should be a must visit!

We have friends who live nearby, and when we go ti visit them, a trip to Wee Bears Cafe is no 1 on the agenda. The location is perfect, so peaceful and beautiful . The food is delicious and different. My personal favourite is Bacon Scruffin mmmmm!! and then of course there’s wee bear himself. Such a gorgeous friendly dog, who has now been joined by the beautiful Winnie. Best just happens to be the double of our dog Tess, who sadly went over the rainbow bridge a few years ago. There simply isn’t anything not to like here. The humans too are lovely people and always up for a bit chat! Even the customers are friendly, I think we exchanged greetings with everyone there, and even got to sit in a customers classic Volvo ! It simply doesn’t get any better.

We have friends who live in Kirriemuir and we visit them every year. A must do every time is a visit to see Wee Bear, and to have breakfast . The place and it’s surroundings are beautiful, as is the food. My personal favourite is the Blueberry scone, with bacon and cream cheese, with maple syrup. Absolutely delicious. We always find the staff very friendly, and all in all this is so much more than just a breakfast stop, it’s a destination stop too. Dogs are more than welcome too

What a lovely place! We had a delicious lunch - cheese scone with bacon and egg (kind of like eggs Benedict). Very friendly staff and delicious food - great stop if you’re exploring the Angus glens.

Arrived on change over between breakfast and lunch but could order from either menu. Menu is packed with fresh, local ingredients, really impressed with the high quality. Some inventive and quirky menu items which were great fun to try and sets this wonderful place apart. Also do music nights and accommodation. Have already recommended to friends.

Great food, coffees and cakes. The Focaccia is amazing and makes a standout sandwich that’s a little different from elsewhere. The selection of cakes is outstanding and all are fresh and delicious. Would go back here in a hurry.

We stopped by recently and enjoyed excellent coffee and cakes (mine was a lovely coffee and walnut cake). Lovely, friendly staff serving delicious food in a well organised and safe way. Didn’t see inside but the set up outside was fantastic. Will be back soon
