Unfortunately our stop was curtailed a rainstorm just as we had sat down to have a drink and eat. Plenty of choices to be had in the cafe, the farm shop in a nearby bothy too. The most delicious piece of cheesecake and a cherry and chocolate ice cream had to be eaten in the car but it is in a lovely location and well worth a visit

Went to Peel Farm Cafe and must say the food and coffee were first class the ladies that were serving were very friendly and helpful. The Courtyard gift shop is well worth a visit lovely local foods and gifts. Love the antique shopping area too.

We had a lovely lunch at Peel Farm! Amazing Food and the service in the cafe was friendly and helpful. 100% recommend. I had been in the antiques shop previous to this and had a lovely person help us. This time, the service left a lot to be desired. We wanted to try a few things one and the glass cabinet was opened for us It was hard to see without a mirror and nothing was offered until I asked. When looking at a few other pieces we were advised these were more expensive than the others. Felt like we were being treated like we couldn't afford what we were looking at. Like the person before, we were going to buy a few things but ended up leaving everything as we were made to feel uncomfortable. Shame really as they do have some LOVELY things! 100% recommend the cafe without a doubt - beautiful set up, fresh lovely food and wonderful service. Taken one star off because of the shop service.

We visited today and honestly I was so disappointed after driving out from Montrose. We had to ask for food menus after being left sitting for 5 minutes. Which would have been fine in isolation but what followed was not much better. We ordered our drinks and food, waited about 10 minutes for drinks, 20 by the time the food came. The girl who served us was very apologetic and offered us some free drinks which we did appreciated but declined since we were going to have coffee and cake after our soups etc. We waited so long on someone coming to ask what we’d like that we ended up leaving and got coffee and cake at wee bear cafe. Normally I would not complain about these seemingly minor things but it was one thing after the other. The glass my drink was in was visibly dirty, it was not particularly busy and the food was average. Not the sort of experience you expect when you’re paying £7-8 for a baked potato.

I popped in to grab a sandwich. The egg baguette was tiny and cost £6.15 to take away! I’m guessing they’re charging around £4.00 for this basic side salad (see photo) that comes with it. Pretty disappointed after a nice walk in the local area.

Lovely small café but perhaps we visited at wrong time of the year. After a local recommendation we visited the farm expecting petting facilities and/or a childrens play park however upon arrival we found only the farm shop and cafe were open- both were nice but I wouldnt say outstanding (no disrespect intended). I personally, atleast this time of year wouldnt make a journey of anything more than a few minuites to visit the farm.

I used to come here often and thought a nice little trip for myself and partner would be nice. for lunch. Our server was a lovely young girl but whoever is in the kitchen now has dropped standards so badly I won’t be back. Our server told us our main meal may take a while so I ordered some pitta bread and humus to munch whilst waiting. It never arrived. When my lunch arrived I was told the humus was also ready. I ordered halloumi on a bun with salad, crisps, chutney and coleslaw on the side. What I got was half a teaspoon of slaw and a pile of lettuce. My partner the same. I complained and the person in charge took my plate away and brought back what is usually served. Never replaced my partners. The attitude and standard has slipped so much in this place from the friendly quality service I received on many other visits. My photos show before and after

Stopped off for an early cuppa and a very tasty egg roll during a cycle from the big city. It is Takeaway only just now but has good outside tables. Very helpful and friendly. Lovely selection of home baking on offer.

I was very rudely greeted when I arrived with my family to have coffee and visit the farm shop. As soon as we entered the building the staff member bluntly demanded I need to put a mask on. There was no consideration of if I am exempt medically or not!!! I then asked if we could have take away coffee instead of sitting in. I was told again I need to put a mask on or cover my face somehow. It is not the fact of what the staff member was asking it’s how they asked in a very rude manner. We ended up leaving without a purchase. Sadly this attitude stopped us from buying coffee and produce from the farm shop. With this customer service I would strongly advise to find somewhere else! Very dissatisfied!!!

We have been here several times . This time was dreadful Half toasted sandwich . Fresh salad was anything but . Looked like it had been taken from one plate to another . Limp and lifeless . Cold cappuccino when asked to warm up it came back half full . Was eventually replaced . Attitude to support dogs from one person was exceptionally rude and snappy Overpriced . Two sandwiches . Two cakes and coffee and tea £30.00 Will not be returning . Sad as it used to be well run .

Good spot, nice views, plenty of outside seating when Scottish weather allows. Good cake selection, and amazing taste, but service is very slow. Waited over 20 mins for 5 wraps to be made, but at least this shows all cooked fresh. Gift shop attached, pricey and not much local produce but nice to walk around. Visited 3 times in one week

We stopped at Peel farm coffee shop for some lunch after a walk. A very warm welcome was followed by home cooked soup, excellent coffee and very impressive cake. Brannah and Gail were our waitresses and were full of warmth and smiles 🤗 would definitely recommend

When we arrived we got shouted at by a member of staff telling us we couldn't park roadside. It would have been helpful to all if there was a sign saying this to avoid this unpleasant welcome. We went for breakfast and because we had our dog with us we expected to eat outside. However, we did not expect to receive breakfast out of cardboard containers because there is no service outside. We even had to pay the same price as if we were eating with service inside. As a result the food was very wet, cold and soggy and I most certainly wouldn't recommend if eating outside. The service was very slow too. The hot chocolate was nice though.

I went out of my way to purposely visit the antique section, and indeed their were 4 items I was interested in buying. I then asked the lady on the desk if she knew the seller of the items and was told "He won't reduce the price, these are real XXXXXX. Now any antiques centres, shops etc. will offer 10% discount, never mind the fact I was trade, so in summary rude, abrupt and unhelpful, and given I was prepared to spend £550 rather bewildering. So my advice, Abernyte, Rait or Doune at least they know how to be polite and help would be customers.

Were staying nearby and had seen this as a recommended place to have lunch. Stopped by and had a lovely little lunch (ignoring all the wasps). Ice cream was also lovely and locally produced. Shop itself is a bit touristy and overpriced rather than more traditional.
