We have visited this lovely peaceful and friendly cafe on previous visits to the area and have always been amazed at the utterly fantastic cake. We know it was sold by the previous owners so assumed it was gone forever. Oh no it isn't! Today we conducted a rather sharpish U turn when we saw the familiar OPEN sign outside... More

We called in here on a Sunday in september and they were very busy. So much so that we were offered seats upstairs in the gift shop. Our initial order was brought up to us after about 15 mins but we were not in any hurry. we had also asked for a scone after the sandwiches but this failed to... More

We had lunch here when we were visiting the area. Lovely friendly staff. The cafe was very clean and had a little gift shop upstairs. The food was amazing. Mostly sourced by local ingredients. Cakes are delicious. Sorry to hear that they are closing at the end of September. This little bit of heaven will be missed

Some fellow travellers on our NC500 trip recommended this place and it is well worth a visit. It is a cosy café that has fabulous food and cakes. We stopped here on a rainy lunchtime and it was very busy. However, service was friendly and efficient and they were obviously juggling to get people in where possible. We had jacket... More

I was so glad that we managed to get a table after building the place up to my husband and 2 sister in laws. I had read all the reviews and knew we just had to go here. We were not disappointed and had a great coffee, baked tattie and cake. My sister in laws make great scones and cakes... More

We holiday regularly in this area but, for some reason, have only just discovered this gem of a cafe and found out the owners are retiring at the end of the year.... gutted... We stopped in for cake and drinks. At 3.30pm the cafe was full but they managed to squeeze us in. I'm so glad they did. I can't... More

Having visited the cafe on our last trip to Scotland, we drove from Lochinver one very wet windy day to have lunch as our memories were of lovely food, Coeliac friendly and a warm welcome. We were not disappointed, and they even had a gluten free cake which was yummy. Thank you Connie & Michael.

Spent an hour here on a strong wind day and loved the cosy, friendly, family atmosphere of the café. Tempting cakes on display and lovely, funny owner!

The Bridge Cafe is a special place run by special people (Connie, Michael and their staff). This is their last year, so, hurry and do not miss their wonderful hospitality. The food is beautiful - organic, locally resourced, and served in generous portions.
