Having wanted to eat here for some time we were delighted that our experience was wonderful and we would recommend it to anyone that asks us. It is a destination and it is far from the beaten track but worth the effort for the menu,...More

Three Chimneys is a very good restaurant. But it is overpriced for what you get. The food was very good, but the wine list is medium. Also a bit far to get to. Not sure it is worth it.

This highly reviewed restaurant required a reservation, which we made more than 3 months in advance. When we arrived we were brought to our table and informed about the menu and options. We chose the Skye Land and Sea menu, which is essentially a tasting...More

Well done Three Chimneys. Only just scored a 5 star as I felt the two desert courses were too similar and a bit fussy. The scallops/oyster and lamb servings are worth a 6. Outstanding, every mouthful was heaven, best I've had. The wine worked really...More

We paid £45 with Isle Taxis last week. Book taxi in advance and the 3C will contact them when you are ready to be collected.

Description
The Three Chimneys Restaurant is one of Scotland's most iconic restaurants, set in a stunning location beside the sea in the north west corner of the Isle of Skye. Colbost is situated on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, a wide sea loch that opens into The Minch, the narrow stretch of sea between Skye and the Outer Hebrides. The views are stunning whatever the time of year. The Three Chimneys is famous for specialising in the freshest local produce including wonderful seafood from the immediate coastal waters. the restaurant has been owned by husband and wife, Eddie and Shirley Spear, for 32 years. The couple bought the traditional stone-walled croft house in 1984 and developed the business into what it is today, with an amazing worldwide reputation. The Three Chimneys has won countless awards and accolades. Head Chef, Scott Davies and his Brigade of young chefs are passionate about preparing and cooking the finest local ingredients, including seafood, eat and game. Innovative dishes and exciting taste combinations are served by a professional young crew front-of-house, who pride themselves in delivering skilful, but friendly and welcoming service at all times. there is an excellent Wine List and cocktails and other bar beverages, including a good range of malt whisky and Scottish gin, are served in the Lounge in the evenings to both house guests and restaurant customers alike. Advance bookings are essential and accommodation can be provided in The House Over-By adjacent, or in a number of good quality B&Bs and self-catering accommodation in the neighbourhood.
