We have tried the steak pie and the haggis trio and it was just great. A really good place for traditional food. Absolutely worth a visit.

We had supper here two nights running after enjoying the local scenery and found the food to be good after-walk fare at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is very pleasant with sea views at the front, kind staff and low noise levels thanks to the soft...More

Really was hungry or would have left, from the off the landlady was officious and surly, we pressed on and ordered food , the staff are great, went up for another pint, the barstaff went for a fresh glass , I happened to say no...More

Thankyou for your review Our interaction lasted about 20 seconds if that and as we recall (the barmaid and I) you said “thankyou, respect for letting me know but I am walking”. If trying to help someone offends you to the point of near catatonic...More

Really enjoyed the breakfast and dinners at this hotel. Try the famous haggis balls -they are awesome!!! We also had the oak roasted salmon and the chili glazed salmon and both were excellent.

Hello Susan Thankyou for review, I am pleased you have given us the opportunity to reply as your memory of events seems patchy to say the least. You came down for dinner and sat with your menu for at least 45 minutes. Your spoken English...More

Stayed nearby for the night and decided to have a couple of pints in there - tasty ales from local brewery plus good selection of whiskys including local Talisker. Nice staff, cozy bar and quiet music, we enjoyed the evening. Next day passed the place...More

We ate several meals during a recent stay at the hotel. We really enjoyed the hospitality and the food was tasty and we left feeling satisfied. The selection of good ales was most pleasing and the single malt scotch on the list was quite impressive....More

We stopped here for a quick beer after dinner and were able to sit back and relax on the cold rainy night. There were some nice travel resources in the hallway near the bathroom that helped us out a lot.

The restaurant is a small friendly restaurant within the hotel. We serve well cooked, affordable, traditional British and Scottish dishes with the odd continental addition. We serve our own home smoked salmon and source many of our ingredients within Scotland. Whilst not having a specialist childrens menu we are able to offer smaller portions of many of the menu items for those with smaller appetites. Food is home made and cooked to order so we offer fresh food not "fast food" We have a lounge bar serving real ales and have a fine single malt menu We can accommodate groups but to avoid disappointment please ring to pre book. If you have any specific dietary needs you can always ring to see if we can help
