A nice place for date night. Delicious food, nice and cosy with a warm rustic Italian atmosphere. Staff were excellent.

This is a favourite restaurant of mine. Booked it as a birthday treat. The restaurant has had a little refurb and looks fantastic. The service was at its usual high standard with the staff pleasant and helpful. I ordered my favourite minestrone soup and it...didn’t disappoint. Haddock goujons were next and were very tasty. Portions very generous which meant that dessert was out of the question. A very enjoyable lunch, can’t wait for a return visit.More

I can’t understand why a this place says it’s Italian but has never served Pizza!? My heart sank when a friend said she has booked a table here for a lunch. I had been before and it was, in my opinion, below average. I thought,...since that was a while ago, it may have been an “off” night. No. Mushrooms brick hard. Pasta very hard and cream sauce with chicken (two small pieces) was watery and tasteless. Had to add salt myself. Waiting staff pleasant enough but quite gruff and hurried even when the place wasn’t that busy. I made a mental note never to return and the next day I was given a £50 gift voucher 🙈😩 Wish it had been for Tony Macaroni’s which is far superior in every way 👎🏻More

When visiting Motherwell over the years we have often eaten in this restaurant. This time (10 April 2022) our experience was even better than all of the previous superb experiences. The menu is comprehensive. The wine list is spot on. The staff are excellent. And...above all the food is absolutely out standing.More

Visited Da Claudio with family on Thursday 24th March to celebrate my 60th . We were warmly welcomed by Arthur and his staff into the private dining area where we had a brilliant meal . Our group was 10 in total including kids and its...fair to say , ALL of the food we were served from Starters to Desserts and Wine was delicious. Some of our party choose to eat from the Specials Menu for that evening with the Stroganoff and Smoked Haddock Risotto as choices while the other two adults including myself had the Spaghetti Scoglio , seafood with tomato , a Da Claudio classic. Wonderful ,attentive service.Great to be back eating in the restaurant again.More

Eventually we were able to visit this restaurant after covid restrictions. We ordered pate for starters which was delicious and a generous portion with toast and salad. Both of us had the fish goujons. Again plentiful and fish so tender. We finished with coffee. Very...nice setting and staff very attentive. Various menus depending the time of day. Would advise pre booking as there are limited tables. Looking forward to our next visit.More

Hate to report this when myself & husband was sooo looking forward to trying this place. Pate to start - had ZERO taste to it with 2 slices of soggy bread & a tub of dried out salad I had spaghetti carbonara 😷 holy moly!!!...Was tasteless, couldn’t taste anything that made it “yummy” just “plain” the bacon (which isn’t meant to be in carbonara) was just pieces of fat. I had clumps of pasta stuck together was like a thick cheese string! Husband had chicken risotto - good portion but again NO FLAVOUR he had to put a mass amount of salt & pepper in it. He left most of it. Lastly had parmasan chips - soggy with grated cheese. The FULL meal was cold to top it off! I live about 3mins away ! Never ever ever again will I come here & waste £30+ Each to their own I guess - but we eat at nice Italians & this was rotten. I guess you would need to go to an amazing Italian to eat to appreciate this is no where near other standards. PREGO in Carluke for anyone who wants an alternative!!!!More

This restaurant never disappoints, very good menu, tasty food, nice wines, just wish they would get draught beer. Only thing missing tonight was the warm welcome from Arthur.

First time venturing out to a Restaurant since Pre-Covid and we felt safe at Da Claudio's - which was so reassuring! Da Claudio is still as good - if not better - than it was before! The set lunch menu was spectacular - cannot recommend...the Pear Frangipani dessert highly enough! The staff are exceptional, the food spectacular. This restaurant is definitely an absolute gem!More

Just back from a really lovely first time visit. When we booked we asked for a quiet table and that's what we got. But it's a lovely, busy and vibrant restaurant with lots of staff. They pay attention but they are not in your face...every 5 minutes. The menu was perfect, we went al a carte rather than the 2 courses for £16.50 cos it was my birthday, but that menu would be perfect for any other visit. Finally, I have to mention the strawberry cheesecake...yum!More

Now visited this restaurant a few times to sit in and twice for take away. It has been absolutely first class every time. I do not regularly write reviews but really feel it deserves the credit it is due. Every dish from starter to dessert...has been great and you can tell effort has went into it. Staff are always very friendly, especially Arthur who you get the same way every time you speak with him so thank you to him. It is the kind of restaurant most people will travel to a big City Centre to find and we are lucky enough to have locally on our door step. Decor inside is modern, cosy, welcoming and very clean and tidy. Our favourite restaurant and take away by a mile...!More
