Visited McCabes on a Saturday afternoon when the rugby was on excellent place with good choice of drinks and the atmosphere was excellent. We also ate there and got a great deal on a steak and I had a Haggis pie which was really good. First time in Largs but will definitely go back and will defo vist McCabes

In Largs for the day, a friend and I paid McCabes a visit for lunch. The staff were welcoming, polite and friendly. Lunch was very nice, first time I've tasted Blaggis fritters. Can recommend them 😃. The pub decor is a bit dull but displays some interesting artefacts. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would definitely go back another time.

Enjoyed an afternoon in McCabe's a few years back and thought it was a fantastic pub. As we had our two wee, very well behaved dogs with us on this occasion, we checked on line to see if McCabe's was doggie friendly and apparently it was. However, when we arrived we were told that dogs weren't allowed during food service... More

Been going to McCabes for drinks for years now and it always is the focal point of Largs for drinking, and has always remained the best pub in the town. In all the years of visiting it I have never actually been for a meal in it so decided one Saturday afternoon while the family were away that I would... More

Great food, ordered from 2 meals for £9.99. Quick service , only had to wait 10 minutes. Really surprised with the portion sizes, well worth the money. Staff polite and efficient. I'll definetly be going back and recommend it to my friends.

Thank June S

The date on the exterior of this friendly bar says 1887 and there's an appropriately old-fashioned atmosphere on the inside too. The first thing that strikes you is the central circular bar, with its traditional brass rail and cute cherubs looking down from above. Elsewhere, the walls are decorated with all manner of old bottles, books and jars which, along with the real fireplace, give the impression of a homely, well lived-in space. As a result, McCabes is a popular destination for locals and tourists, ranging from shoppers to families, weekend revellers and, thanks to the six televisions, football fans wanting to catch up with the big fixtures.
