We were going to park, look at the beach etc. and then get something to eat in the Smuggler's. However, the only signage about the parking is within the carpark and due to the general chaos of cars we were unable to access this. It...More

Happy to pay higher price for sandwiches & soup which were satisfactory. Were tempted by Baked Peaches for desert which lacked flavour and represented poor value. Sadly the peaches never lived up to our expectations because the atmosphere was so cosy and inviting. Also heard...More

What a fantastic location and Beautiful building spoilt by the apathy of its inhabitants. A reluctance to serve in order by obviously inexperienced staff, who "choose" who to serve with no logical order and cold food pull down what could otherwise be a phenomenal success,...More

We visited here on a wander along the coastal path. It was very busy, but we were found a table. We were given menus and told to order at the bar, which we did. While we were waiting for our food, another couple came in,...More

We decided on a lunchtime visit to the Smugglers, on arrival we were greeted by a sign charging £4 for parking, money back if eating and drinking exceeds £10, (this rules out just going for a few beers with friends, as I have done in...More

We've wanted to come here for quite some time but it's usually too busy. Today we made it but what a disappointment my lunch was. My husband had the beer battered fish and chips which was as good as we've ever had. The batter just...More

This was our second visit to Smuggler's; we ate on two consecutive nights whilst camping nearby. Professional staff, decent menu at a reasonable price. You won't be disappointed if you are looking for food; however the menu could be a little more imaginative with more...More

We camped just up the road, so this was the only pub to walk to. Good selection of beers and varied menu. Lovely looking place in a nice location for coastal walkers.
