After a 2 hour coastal walk we decided to have lunch here, fantastic food and excellent beers and ciders all served by polite friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend eating here. Steak is cooked to perfection. Credit to the chef. Hope to return here again very soon.

A huge menu with a specials board with several choices on to choose from. First evening we sat in the front bar, which has lovely quirky tables made from a slice of a felled oak tree sat on an old wooden beer barrel, really suited the pub. Food choice was a ploughmans which was really tasty with a huge amount... More

Great pub, lots of seating, menu is varied and a lot to chose from. They even had a small selection of table games for children. Staff were friendly. Average prices too! We will return tonight for sure!

Very busy family / dog friendly pub/restaurant. The food was good with good choice. Some dishes already off the menu st 6pm on Friday evening but this was the Easter holidays. Service at the bar was very slow, more staff required. Would recommend though but not if you are in a rush or have young children who are starving.

Great food choices. Typical pub feel, dog friendly and lovely cozy atmosphere. The place felt like a family-run business served by friendly, warm welcoming staff. Lovely place to eat but was more for the local punters than the tourist diners.

Return visit. Very good ales and other drinks. Food good though a bit bland. Atmosphere good with very friendly staff. Gets very busy at peak times so service can be slow.

A decent 10 minute walk from Woolacombe beach (up a steep hill) this place offers something that Woolacombe beach doesn't - I decent English Pub! Food and service were fine. No views of the sea but the beer soon solves that worry!

We decided to eat here as we were hungry and staying nearby. We went in and the place was quite quiet, we ordered drinks and food and sat at the table we chose. The drinks were ok, local ales. The pub is dog friendly so dogs are aloud inside but not on the furniture. I ordered the burger. The burger... More

What a lovely place. A proper pub with good ale, good food and pleasant staff. All at reasonable prices in the quaint village of Mortehoe. Well worth the drive through narrow lanes ,however restricted parking could cause problems.
