Service and atmosphere very good, food good but not huge portions, felt it was a little over-priced for what we got.

Description
A place to relax, step back & be steeped in history, the Church House Inn, Churchstow, a 13th Century pub, built as a rest house for Bendictine Monks from Buckfast Abbey it has been a hostelry of one kind or another all of its life. Bursting with unspoilt original charm and character, inglenook fireplace, log burners & beams a plenty, with legends of smuggling monks and tunnels down in the well in the main entrance, leading to the Church and beyond. Our Head Chef has a wealth of experience from his previous 20 years in the South Hams working in 4/5 star hotels with rosette credentials! The pub classic menu is available daily along with a regularly changing seasonal board. Winter season; closed Monday lunch and no food service Monday pm.
