It's a nice place to go for a quick lunch. Although the cafe is quite small/cramped they have a wide range of food. I have tried a lot of things on the menu and everything tastes 'okay' and comes in large portions (definitely worth the money).

Visited for Sunday Lunch, The roasts are available in 3 sizes. If you opt for the large make sure you are hungry! The portion sizes are very generous, the food arrives piping hot and is always tasty. Had the steak & kidney pie - full of meat. Although this is a tiny establishment they cope very well and the place... More

Great food, lovely staff, we had a lamb dinner, followed by home made lemon pancakes, which was , as usual excellent. Very friendly staff, always remember us even after months of not eating here. Can recommend, fantastic selection. See you again soon thank you

We were cold tired and thirsty and not a little stunned by some awful rudeness from another establishment we had just tried. What a lovely warm welcome from staff, accommodating to our wishes and hot tasty food..just what we needed! Thank you very much.

I have been to the wine of Ara by many times although not for a long time.I popped in for a cuppa tea and a sandwich. I can honestly say it was THE WORST toasted sandwich I have ever in my 48 years consumed. Wasn't even a proper toastie. ..it was toasted one side grosse cheap margarine the cheapest blotchy... More

Came here for lunch with my mum and it was very busy so had to sit upstairs. Tables were really tired looking with peeling varnish and not at all "appealing"! Also a convector heater just left plugged in near one of the tables with the wire trailing must surely be a health and safety contravention. The waitresses were pleasant enough... More

Thank you for your comments. They are very useful for us. As said, we are a very busy and popular cafe in Exmouth with many happy customers who return to us time and time again. Because of the flow of people, it is difficult to carry out works to things like the tables but needless to say, we do keep... More

I've only ever been here for breakfasts and they have always been consistently decent. The last time was in November and it was nice, nothing amazing, but certainly not bad. The service is usually efficient and friendly.

Good service and a very tasty cream tea summed up our visit. This experience was just what we needed on a very poor weather day.

Popped in here for a snack, all of the tables were taken downstairs as it was very busy so went upstairs today. It is table service which is nice and although it was busy did not have to wait long before our order was taken. We had scrambled eggs on toast which was lovely and lots of it! Staff here... More
