This is a great cafe if you don't want a full meal. They also have a small shop selling many items that will be of use to anyone on Dartmoor who's forgotten an essential or wants a postcard! They also have that modern day essential of Wi-Fi. Whilst I only had snack food (and tea!) on my couple of visits... More

We came here for lunch. It looked pretty ordinary when we walked in but the food was outstanding especially at the price. Very good home made fare, we've had the amazing scones with clotted cream and jam, ham and eggs with excellent quality ham. The cafe is well organised and the servers very helpful. I look forward to visiting again... More

the first trip back here after early teenage days eating beans on toast and gallons of tea. I was pleasantly suprised by the range of tasty food on offer, satisfying everyone from those needing a beer to the vegan of the party. the service was quick and the staff really friendly (despite it being so busy), and the food very... When you have been out for a walk on Dartmoor, you're cold and wet (and so is your dog), desperate for an all day breakfast and a steaming mug of tea, there can be no better place to end up than the Fox Tor Cafe. The welcome is as warm as the log burner. The food is good value and... More

Firstly lets just say everything about this place is amazing Staff brilliant full of joy and smiles It makes such a difference that staff enjoy being at work. However the only thing stopping this place becoming six stars is Need two tills More space equals more tables inside you need to expand.

Enjoyed a scrumptious Devon cream tea at the Fox tor café. Car park at rear . Excellent choice of flavoured scones . Large bowl of cream and jam ( not in pre packed cartons ) Pleasant staff and service - highly recommended.

This is a small unimposing café in the centre of Princetown with a really reasonable clotted cream tea. We had several locals tell us this was the place to go for a cream tea on a day out on Dartmoor. This is possibly one of the local’s best kept secrets when out on the moors.

This is a great place to eat, though many people go there for a good yap, the staff are friendly and welcome dogs, such a handy car park at rear, , the only problem i have , is the fried breakfast could be improved, instead of budget sausages and bacon, just improve the quality, and a bigger size plate will...
