This pub is an absolute great fine, I can’t believe it has taken 172 years to find it! The famous fire has burnt for 172 years, and you can just feel the atmosphere. Reasonable food, and friendly welcome.

An amazing place for lunch, stooped in history, this ancient pub has bundles of charm and a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. We had a fabulous Sunday roast and a pint of great local beer

Friendly couple behind the bar. Didn't eat as arrived too late but apparently usually they serve food 12-9pm Warm in the pub and cosy. Food average prices at about £10 per head.

Stop off. Always wanted to come here. Very cosy entrance and fires. Sat in the children's section which isn't so cosy. The location is part of the price in my eyes, which is fine. Ordered food. Came out pretty quick for a pub. The biggest...More

Called in for lunch one day and the fries could have been used to nail up a board. Think they might have been oven chips. Yuk!
