I've enjoyed many meals here and they have always been very good. The service is also very good. There is a nice bar with an open fireplace.

We visited The Three Crowns as a stopover on our way to Cornwall because it was perfectly located in North Dartmoor, just off the A30. We were lucky to get the last room, a cosy double, and it did not disappoint. It was smaller than...More

As usual the Three Crowns was a great venue for lunch. I was there with my husband and son for my birthday lunch on a beautifully sunny day. Although the old part of the hotel looked very comfortable we wanted to enjoy the sunshine and...More

We had a meal here in December as part of a private party. It was great, perhaps not a fair reflection of the main restaurant, but good enough to make us want to return. It's a lovely building with a super bar area and nice...More

What lovely hotel bar. The food was great and the hotel was a really nice bar with excellent service. The village was a lovely walk and a good stop on the way to Tintagel from Weymouth. Well worth the short detour off the A30.

We were welcomed into this cosy old hotel by the most friendly staff. They helped us find cosy seats by the wood-burning stove, fetched our drinks, and set us up to eat in the same place - no need to move into the restaurant. Supper...More

The Three Crowns sits in the heart of the pretty and vibrant stannary town of Chagford in Devon. Following a complete renovation this beautiful thatched coaching Inn is warmly elegant with stone walls, inglenook fireplaces and beamed ceilings. The Three Crowns dates back to the 13th century and was a manor house before becoming an inn. In an idyllic spot on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, scenic walks are all around, from gentle strolls to serious hikes. Focusing on local fresh ingredients the The Three Crowns offers a diverse menu and is perfect for both a special evening meal or a country pub lunch.
