We were visiting this area for the first time and had been told really good things. There was nothing terrible here, but there was nothing great either. Everything was just okay. I had fish and chips in cider batter for my main. The batter was good, very crispy and well cooked, and the chunky chips were good. So the food... More

Lovely place but food poor. My burger so hard and dry could not cut it shame as I have heard good reports. Staff very nice.

Warm welcoming atmosphere, great selection of food, a lot of it local and very fresh, and plenty to drink. Fantastic service. Can't fault it, will be back. Thanks all.

The pub is delightful, and has a very relaxed friendly ambience. The staff were exceptional; very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb; we all ate different dishes and had fun tasting and mmmm-ing and ahh-ing over our own and each others' plates of deliciousness. Being situated alongside the river is such a beautiful bonus, and... More

I have been a few times recently and the food and service have been excellent. Tasty dishes with fresh ingredients and lots of variety. The decor is quirky and cosy and there is a roaring fire to add to the ambience. Can't wait to go again.

We decided to go to lunch when our son came to visit so living near the pub we walked there on a cold day and with our Cockerpoo Molly. We got there just before 12 noon to get the table near the wood burner as dogs are welcomed in that part of the pub. It's a good thing we did... More

We stayed here for a long weekend, and enjoyed an evening meal here enormously. Lovely locally sourced ingredients, well-prepared and presented, in large portions. The braised brisket was to die for - so tender you could have cut it with a butter knife. The accommodation was 'interesting'! Quirky and quaint, with a bedside light made of galvanised gas-pipe, and an... More

The Culm Valley Inn was recommended by our B & B. We were not disappointed. A lovely old inn with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. We all chose different meals - one of us had seabass, one the venison burger and one the risotto. All very tasty and thoroughly enjoyed

Really interesting menu; not a huge choice but every one a winner. Friendly service even under pressure of a busy new years day. Very accommodating of younger children. Highly recommended.
