On returning to this part of the world to visit friends, after moving a couple of years go to Bristol, I was delighted by the food in this small restaurant. everything appeared freshly prepared and the lovely lady serving was very knowledgable and attentive. The restaurant and toilets were immaculately clean. Will be returning.

We continue enjoying our visits to the Lytehouse restaurant in Fore Street, Brixham. The food is always the freshest and perfectly cooked and presented. The service is always very friendly and you quickly feel at home. The wine selection is first class with plenty of choice. . All told an ideal place to eat and relax. Highly recommended.

If you want a civilised meal in a civilised setting with entirely delightful chef / patron owners then head to The Lytehouse. Generous portions of well cooked food (properly done but not pretentious) and a decent wine list at very reasonable prices.

Found this place last October and very glad to see it is still there. Was a tapas/wine bar but the tapas concept didn't go down too well in Brixham but with starters and side dishes you can still make up a great, fun meal. Great owners, very knowledgable couple.

We ate here with some friends who are regulars. Travelling to Brixham that night, we were going to be late and when my friend telephoned, Caroline very kindly offered to stay open until we got there. He did keep giving her updates, and she was very patient and graceful as I would have got quite annoyed after the third or... More

We went here one evening and weren't disappointed, although we were the only ones there we had very good service. The food was excellent and would go there again when next in Brixham .Its run by a husband & wife team who work really well together.

This is one of those places we'd been meaning to try for ages but hadn't got round to, we wish we'd made the effort before. Catherine and Daniel have done a wonderful job re-modelling the interior, it's now contemporary, stylish and welcoming. Catherine is a Somellier and Daniel is the chef, a winning combination, they care and it shows. The... More

Warm welcome, and thankfully the menu was not extensive, and all cooked to an incredibly high standard. Sublime food with a perfect choice of wine suggested by the charming Sommeliere, can't fault anything just wish we could stay here longer to have another lovely meal before returning to Rye. We booked a table for 8 adults, 4 men and 2 expendant mothers where very hungry. We were told that there was only one side order of potatoes left! Also limited number of mains left. So we left as this restaurant had not enough to offer to feed us all, why take our booking when you are so short of... More

Dear Jacqui, I remember your table well. You placed your booking for 8 people on a Saturday night at 5.30pm for 8pm. The night in question we were trialling a particular side order of roasted new potatoes, these had proved popular - every table that evening had ordered this dish and we had a number of early diners. However you... More

We didn't make a reservation but were accommodated with a table walking in off the street. The food was delicious with a well thought out menu, and a fantastic host and chef who are husband and wife team. The wine list was excellent and and so was the service. A very friendly couple who know how to run a good... More
