It's so refreshing to find a pub which is a 'proper pub' in other words a local where you can go in and have a drink without feeling you have to order food. Although we did order food one day on our holiday and sat outside during the day, we used the pub in the evenings and enjoyed having a... More

Typical British boozer. Nice traditional touches. Had a decent enough sandwich (Tuna and onion seeing as you asked). Lovely views onto Royal Square.

Called in for a drink on St Patrick's day, appeared to be a focal point for many Irish to gather, it's quite a small pub, so felt very busy, standing room only, although there was lots of seating available outside which trebles their capacity, lovely place to sit out & watch the world go by on a warm day.

small pub in town centre felt like walking into a local but a friendly local if you want a beer away from the Whoray Henries who are sadly taking over this town ideal

We came in for a quick drink during a day of walking around St Helier. We didn't eat as it was still a bit early after a heavy breakfast. The real ales were well kept, which is unfortunately rare in British pubs for those who like real ale. Certainly a popular place and well worth a visit.

Nice little pub with a welcoming feel to it and the food was good as well. Very friendly place in pretty much the centre of St Helier, well worth a visit especially if you are tiered of shopping.

Among all the coffee shops, wine bars, sports bars etc, it's nice to find a traditional 'British' pub. Informal and relaxing, the bar prices weren't too bad either.

We chose to eat at The Peirson as we saw on the board outside that it served food daily. We approached the bar and asked the barman if we could have a couple of menu's. He very rudely and abruptly replied "no food here tonight!" We asked why is it advertised that you are serving food daily? In the same... More
