This was ok without being special. It felt like we were being rushed through. The staff were not particularly welcoming or engaging, and the background music overpowering. On top of that a pint of Cobra is £8.50!

What,s more to be said! Joe and his guys do exactly what it says on the tin, rightly living up to Jersey,s number 1 curry establishment.
Good service and very good meal. Staff are on the ball and attentive. Just be aware If getting a table for two, on a busy night, then the spacing of the tables is a bit tight.
When we visit the island, we always have to eat here at least once. We've never found a better Indian restaurant anywhere and you will not be disappointed. Wonderful flavours, fresh ingredients and outstanding service makes this an absolute must visit.
Ate here during a weeks stay. We passed several times before we actually ate there, and the smells were wonderful. We finally ate there on a saturday night (always book in advance.) The food was lovely although some items are a little pricey. The restaurant...is not big, and so noise from other tables can be a problem. One table was particularly noisy, and this carried from the front of the restaurant to the very back where we were, but they can't pick their customers. Service was good, even though they were very busy. If we stayed in Jersey again, would definitely visit again.More
Yes it was a Saturday night, and they were busy, but the noise from a table of 6 obnoxious drunk men at the next table not to mention the overall noise factor of the restaurant made our dining experience truly forgettable. From the moment we...entered it was as if they wanted us out as soon as possible to get another set of Punters in. We had barely sat down when they wanted our order and given the extensiveness and complexity of the menu that was impossible. Maybe if you come enough times you know what's good to order but all our 3 curries were over sweet. We arrived at 7.30pm, the food was delivered on a trolley all at once and we were out by 8.45pm. So much for a convivial evening! And then the added insult of the bill - 11 Pounds for 2 bowls of rice!! Sorry not a kind word to be said, absolutely nothing was enjoyable and usually I give good reviews, so I would give this place a miss. So many better restaurants in St Aubin in the week we stayed.More
I have not eaten in the restaurant, but regularly get take-aways and the food is of the highest quality, the portions are generous, and the service is prompt even when busy. I am not Indian, nor have I been to India, so I cannot vouch...for the authenticity of the taste, but they certainly work for me. As a side comment. I have very few teeth and the majority of the curries are available in a keema, (minced lamb), option which I find very useful.More
We arrived in Jersery at the start of our short break. We hadnt booked anywhere to eat. Fortunately we were accommadated here. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was fantastic my wife had a Biryani an d I had the...Goan Curry. I of the best since visiting India. Would highly reccommendMore
We decided to have a meal here. It looked a busy restaurant in a lovely location. We booked a table and were not disappointed. Lovely restaurant with great food and great service. All staff very professional and friendly. Prices of food were what you'd expect...for Jersey. The only thing that I was shocked at were the drinks prices. My wife had a large house red wine £8.50 and I had a pint of Cobra also £8.50. We had 2 drinks each not realising the price. A large red wine and a pint in our hotel was £5 cheaper. ShockedMore
The restaurant is lovely. The menu is extensive and the staff will make adjustments to any of the dishes if necessary. All the staff are friendly and welcoming - we had a lovely evening in the restaurant.
On our visit we were asked if we wanted poppadoms prior to ordering from the menu. The question sounded as if the poppadoms were complimentary and it was confirmed later by the waiter that they are not. Great meal, though
Superb Indian food , beautiful flavours, presented well .Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere , can highly recommend a visit if you love Indian food
Recently returned to Noya Shapla after such a wonderful experience a few years ago. The service and food is still excellent. By far the best Indian we have tried on the island. The manager Joe is always very welcoming and the food is wonderful. The...location of the restaurant is perfect; being just a short walk from numerous bars if you fancy a drink before or after. Will most certainly be returning again in the future!More
Great curry house but get in early, or very late as it gets very busy. Food was very tasty but be careful when ordering as all the portions are larger than normal portions. We ordered too much for the two of us and should have...shared a main.More
Popped in for lunch on the last day of my holiday. Very clean restaurant with great service. Toilets were immaculate as they should be. Good quality food and a varied menu with a lot of specials on it. They can also cater for large groups....Solid 4 stars here and the manager comes from my home town of High Wycombe! What’s not to like!!More
