Called in whilst staying at the house next door and what a lovely surprise. Fabulous location sitting in grandeur at the end of the village. Was a real sun trap sitting in the garden. The cast iron tables and chairs weren't the comfiest to sit...More

We called in for lunch after a cold walk at Glendalough. It is a welcome addition to the eateries in Laragh. Delicious home made soup, scones and dessert.

I had my lunch in this cafe during a trip in the area. The location is marvellous, while the menu is essential but of very good quality and nicely displayed. The negative note was the service: absolutely bad. Once entered, I wasn't even welcomed and...More

Coffee and warm sweet and savory scones. Never noticed this place before because it is hidden away. Will always visit when in the area now. Soups looked great too.

This place is absolutely stunning. The atmosphere there reminds more of a visit in aunt's house. We tried desserts and they were amazing, my friend got to choose what fruits she wants to her Pavlova. Very recommended :)

Any time any of our family members feel the need to be made feel special & rejuvenated, we head out to the The Conservatory, in Laragh. What a truly, beautiful & serene cafe/restaurant, everything is so subtly gentile, 'posh' & retro, & always scrupulously organisec/supervised...More

Not an obviously place to stop as hidden from the main road, on right as you head out of the village towards sally gap but worth seeking out. Really nice warm atmosphere with very pleasant and friendly staff and proprietor. The best soup I ever...More

This is better than Mum used to make- the ambiance is like walking into a friends house after a lovely walk in the hills and the conservatory steams up with the heat of walkers all buzzing about their adventures. The hosts are super nice and...More

Someone on Tripadvisor suggested I eat at the Conservatory and I was so glad I did. I had the root vegetable soup with a scone and apple tart with cream ice cream and coffee. It was all exceptional. It was perhaps by best meal the...More

Homemade cottage food served in a greenhouse converted to a cafe. The minestrone soup with the savory scones is earthy and wholesome. Simply delicious. After that generous portion, we shared the desserts.. Sticky toffee pudding melts in your mouth. Apple tart is crusty and just...More

The Conservatory is a hidden gem - a real find whilst we were exploring the Military Road south of Dublin, and well worth a visit, especially if you happen to be visiting Glendalough (one of Irelands most popular tourist destinations). The staff at The Conservatory are wonderfully friendly and hospitable, and the cafe/restaurant is so very quaint and gorgeous that was deservedly voted in The Bridgestone 100 best restaurants in Ireland 2010. It is an absolutely delightful and charming addition to the existing B&B.
