It's small local cafe, that has a number of speciality products. It was quite busy during lunch but there isn't much space so its not hard to fill the tables. The food is ok but nothing spectacular. For a wrap, slics of cake and 2 coffee I paid €20 which I feel it quite high for small local busines. You... More

Dined with my mam, niece & son. The waitress was lovely & accommodating. She did some pasta for my 2 year old as there was nothing on the menu that I wanted to order for him. Our club sandwiches & chicken wrap were very good. The kids very much enjoyed their chocolate browie.

I loved this place, very small and seating can be tricky to be early. Street parking. We all had the hash, veg hash, black pudding hash etc. Fabulous. No bread etc so we didnt have that full to the gills feeling. 2 coffee's and one had a desert which was really lovely. Definitely on my map now, Ive been meaning... More

Went to this place today and was very dissapointed with there attention to detail, I ordered a club sandwich and my partner who is VEGAN orders the vegan wrap both with chips, food comes out and were eating away when my partner realises that the side salad which she was eating and spat out had chicken in it, absolutely ridiculous... The Mad Hatter Cafe deserves main street status! However, it is quietly tucked away on a side street in Castledermot. People travel far and wide for the food and service. Everything is home-made. The Cafe is even open at weekends for evening dining. Do book to avoid disappointment.

Delicious food, friendly staff and countryside magic! We came across Mad Hatter accidentally and didn't expect much from small local cafe. But everything changed when we got our meals. Enormously tasty! We ordered two pastas and mine was one of the best I've ever tried in my life. Highly recommend this cafe for all travellers and locals.
