Great range of dishes on the menu. The highlight for me was the 5 mixed grilled fish for a main course. Beautifully cooked with option of lemon or garlic butter.

Visited here with a group of 12. Most of us enjoyed our meals. Steaks had to be sent back. Service was a bit slow but I guess we were a large group. Chef/Prop came out towards the end of the evening to have a quick chat with diners. He makes a big thing of this & was obvious he knew... More

Greeted at the locked door by the chef/proprietor in chefs whites and shown to our table - charming introduction to The Guinea Pig. Never been before but struck by how ancient the place looked - like the 1970's and I felt through my backside it was the time the worn out foam in the cushion had last seen daylight. Not... More

Have eaten here a number of times. In the past!! Always hoping for a better experience..had a great reputation once. Cramped space..that wouldn't have been an issue but food was very average and management not interested!!! We went as it was once a favourite of our parents..their choice!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our night for our anniversary. The food was fantastic and we had a really good waiter tending to all our needs. The head chef/owner, Mervin came and spoke to us and was extremely pleasant and informative. The girl who greeted us at the door was extremely unfriendly. We felt like an unconvince. We were not greeted nicely and... More

i was saddened to read about your experience on arrival at the guinea pig recently, the young girl was not my daughter, she is in her 40s,she has always been praised for her professional and courteous manner, she would never pass on customers to anybody but always brings guests to the table herself, i checked with staff and discovered a young waitress opened... This restaurant is a family favourite. Who cares if the decor is dated, the food reigns supreme. The scampi I had was delicious and everybody else was very pleased with their selections. As always, we will be back!

We had a Christmas dinner with co-workers in this restaurant. Scallops for starters was very tasty. Duck for main-yummy!

Rang ahead to let them know that we had a newborn baby as a courtesy and they were very accommodating. Food was very good, the Chef came out and met us and was very pleasant and the maitre d was excellent. The door bell thing (designed so that every guest is met) is a nice touch but inconvenient when the... More
