I recently visited the queens twice over the last few weeks. Never here before so I didn't expect much. Decor is nice, service is good, but the food is amazing! The last time I visited on Wednesday I had the chowder with home made brown bread which was lovely. A week before that I had the pan seared duck breast... More

We were searching for a traditional place where to eat and The Queens was, by far, the best place we ever ate in Ireland. Full of a genuine Irish atmosphere, with a fireplace beside our table, we had a very exquisite lunch on Monday, with our friends from France. We were trying to give them a trully Irish quality time,... More

Had lunch with my daughter. As this hostelry was my family home back in the sixties, and not having eaten there since the days when John and Marie Sheehan were the owners (then top class btw), I was curious to know what the present owners were presenting. It was good. Not brilliant, but pretty good. Very good value for money... More

We found The Queens during our walk in Dalkey. It's right beside Dalkey's Castle so is easy to find. It was a cold day and we're freezing, so we ended up there to escape the weather. We found a lovely atmosphere, warm staff and great food. We sat beside the window near the fireplace and had a warming meal with... More

We were recommended the Queens by our Airbnb host and were not disappointed... After a long cold walk up the famous Vico Road we settled in by the huge open fire and had magnificent homemade sausage and mash with saute onions and rich gravy washed down with the best Irish coffees we've ever had. Our waitress was fantastic and informed... More

Brought friends out for a meal in Dalkey recently. Our waiter Georgio remembered us from our last visit and was very friendly and helpful. Service was good and the food was tasty with generous portions. I always try the Queens burger, but the bun itself was dry. However the other meals were appreciated with the scampi well prepared. I will... More
