Stopped at Nixon's Deli while driving through Knoxville. Delightful hot sandwiches, smooth creamy banana pudding and fabulous smokehouse potato salad. Clean, fast and a hot spot for the locals (4 Fireman walked in and were welcomed by name). Great staff.

My wife and I recently passed through Knoxville and were looking for a sandwich place we had never been to. With a little Trip Advisor research we settled on Nixons. We agreed that we had possibly the best subs ever and the counter folks were great, making sure we felt comfortable as we contemplated the menu. I anticipate another stop... More

I went Saturday afternoon to see my friend Robert who is the store manager. He knows all his customers. I have been eating here for 24 years. They make amazing hoagies which is on dark bread, mayo, mustard, horseradish, lettuce, tomato, with pickle and pepper on the side! Absolutely yummy! I have never had bad food. I always order their... This is a great place to eat, they have a great crew and great food. The prices are better than a lot of other delis.

Ate at Nixon's a long time ago but moved away from Knoxville. Was in town visiting relatives and thought I would try Nixon's again. Glad I did! I got a 8" ham and Swiss cheese on a wheat bun. Everything about it was delicious! The ham and cheese were both plentiful, the bun was fresh, and it was steamed just... More

When you see or hear the word “deli” what comes to mind probably isn’t “Knoxville” or “Nixon’s.” “Deli” means New York and names like The Carnegie and Katz’s. Doesn’t it? In fact New York and its signature sandwich shops are still the bright center of the deli universe and the standard against which other pretenders to deli excellence are judged.... More

If I had to sum up their sandwiches in one word it would be "Soggy". The bread was so steamed it was downright "gooey". The meats and cheeses all seemed good and fresh but I can't get past the soggy bread. Price is kind of high for what you get as well. I think Knoxville natives rate this place with... More

I always prefer to eat local... And this is definitely better than eating at a Subway. But it is still just a sub shop. If you need a quick sandwich, this is a good place to check out. Be warned... The service is less than stellar. I felt as if I was interrupting their afternoon to ask them to make... More
