thick chips that stand up to the salsa and cheese dip. Lots of flavor in the salsa. Food came out fast but was obviously cooked to order judging by the temperature and freshness. The seasoned beef in the burrito was out of this world good. I like the sautéed onions on top. The taco beef seemed a like different seasoning... More

Monterrey is the real deal when it comes to Mexican food! The owner who is a native of Mexico shares his family recipes that his mother taught him to cook. The salsa is absolutely delicious. If you have not tried Monterrey, go! You will be glad you did!

Every time we are in the Knoxville area we go to this restaurant. The food here is very good and the price is reasonable. Each time I go there I order the cheese stuffed Poblano peppers! They are absolutely delicious and amazing! They also have a side order of grilled vegetables that accompanies this dish perfectly. Their house margaritas are... More

We came in on a Friday night and it was very busy. We had a group of 8 and they quickly got a table together for us. The server was friendly and helpful and the food was typical Mexican but good. We had a great time. Only suggestion would be better lighting, it was kind of dark.

We had dinner here. The margaritas were terrific. They had a Texas Guacamole which we tried. It is chopped instead of mixed up. It was good but not really something we would get again. The food was typical but very good. The service was good and the place was interesting.

Had the chicken fajitas and cheese dip. Good but nothing outstanding. Water here is nasty. Tastes like mold but it tasted that way elsewhere in town so I think it's just the water supply here.

After reading all the good reviews was terribly disappointed. The waiter seemed to be in a hurry and kept coming to the table, felt like we were being rushed. We were there about 2:30pm, there was only one other table seated. Not needing the table. Also ordered an happy hour special and was told that the specials had recently changed... More

This place is always crowded after work, you seat yourself, get your food fast and it is always good. Prices very reasonable.
