Pesto and chicken pizza is delish! So many healthy options and menu items I haven't found anywhere else in town. Never a bad meal or experience but can be busy during normal lunch and dinner times...

This is my favorite casual restaurant. The food is tasty yet the owners are mindful of ingredients. My sister can't gave dairy and there are so many vegan and vegetarian options. Anything with their pesto is amazing to me. Try Tuscan Chicken Sandwich, Oh Boy, and Salmon Pesto pizza.

We love eating at Tomato Head when we are in the downtown Knoxville area. It offers a variety of foods including vegetarian options for our daughters. It is a fun place to just sit & visit as well! Don't forget to try the peanut butter pie! YUMMY!

I have eaten lunch here several times. Be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation. The prices are fair and the food is fresh. Organic and local options. Some gluten-free, vegan options also, just ask. This place seems to have a loyal following and range of patrons from downtown business lunch to casual hipster. Check out their bakery... More

We visit Knoxville a few times a year and usually eat at Tomato Head. The food is always consistently good. You can't go wrong with any of the selections on the menu. One of our favorites in Knoxville!

We've been coming to Tomato Head for years. I'm a vegetarian and they have a great variety of meals for both me and my non-vegetarian boyfriend. Their burritos and pizza are good, and the last time we went I got the veggie burger, which was excellent (didn't fall apart like most restaurants' do). Only downside is that service is a... More

We were here on a week night and got a table for 9 quickly. The dining room was a bit dark, so it made portions of the menu difficult to read. Our server managed our table of 4 adults and 5 children well, but he wasn't the most personable. Our food was very good, especially the Southwestern salad. The pizza... More

Came here with a gal friend from work. She lives in Knoxville and has been several times and highly recommended it. I loved it! Being vegetarian I get so tired of the same old food, but Tomato Head has a HUGE selection for ALL eaters and the ambiance is modern but warm. Service was great and the food delicious. I... More

Description
We believe less processed food tastes better. Not only does it taste better, it's much healthier too. You'll notice this difference in our house made dressings and handcrafted pizzas, as well as in our colorful salads and sandwiches. Fresh produce from East Tennessee farmers like Hines Valley Farm, Mountain Meadows Farm and Colvin Family Farm is featured in our daily specials.

Well known for our vegan and vegetarian dishes, our menu has plenty for the carnivore. All of our proteins are nitrate/nitrite free, all natural and antibiotic free. Our house made lamb sausage is cooked in small batches to ensure freshness.

Our sister bakery, Flour Head Bakery, prepares all of the Tomato Head's desserts and breads (including gluten free!) Each morning. By using unbleached and unbromated King Arthur Flour, we create healthier and better tasting pizza dough and sandwich breads.

We also can easily accommodate your dietary needs. Whether it's a nut allergy, a preference for vegan fare or a gluten sensitivity, our staff will craft a dish to suit your tastes.
