This is a really amazing, small, family-owner restaurant. The food is excellently spiced (though I would not call it spicy). Roasted meats in sauce, vegetables and lentils which you eat by pinching together an amazing, flat, soft bread to get a bite. Everyone in our family loves this place.

Straightforward, well spiced Ethiopian food! The menu offers a nice variety and I've had nothing that I dislike, though I've been several times. If you want it spicy, you can get it that way and/or adjust your heat level with the sauces available on the table. I love the injera bread. I love Ethiopian food because it is healthy soul... More

OK, that's not saying much since it is the ONLY Ethiopian restaurant in Knoxville. But I loved it and will go back. Very unique dining experience and delicious!

As most people, I was a little nervous trying Gosh the 1st time. What kind of ingredients would they use? Would it be super spicy? I had all sorts of questions. What I found was a nice atmosphere with staff that didn't mind questions. The food was delicious, using ingredients I am very comfortable with, in a new way. Spices... More

Great place if you're looking for something unique. Go with a group and get a combo platter for the best experience (and be prepared to eat with your hands!)

First time visit so we didn't know what to expect. We got the combination platter so we could sample as much as possible. It had three meat dishes (one beef, one lamb, and one chicken), and four vegetarian dishes. All were very tasty. It is served on a thin flat bread with rolls of bread on the side. We learned... No one in our group of 7 had previously tried Ethiopian food and we were just delighted with this experience - the food is amazing! Well-spiced meats and vegetables come on or with large, puffy flatbreads to pinch it up with. The flatbreads bring their own flavor to the dishes.

I had never tried Ethiopian food. I really enjoy trying new foods so I was excited to dine here. What a treat this was!! The injera was so different. Never had anything like it. So much fun having our waitress show us how to eat with it. Also tried the date cake & it was superb! The restaurant was so... More

My husband and I have travelled in Africa, and we had also been to another Ethiopian restaurant in Minneapolis that we loved. So we wanted to see if Knoxville had one. We drove about 90 minutes to visit Gosh and were NOT disappointed. It was fantastic. The lamb dish was our favorite. The restaurant "looked" like a hole in the... More

Tired of the same dinning experience? Then Gosh is for you. Offering selections for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Taste and textures provide a well rounded dining experience. Plus, the atmosphere of Gosh adds to the experience as well. However, while I might love trying new dining experiences, some may be turned off by the possibility of eating with your... More
