So disappointed in the food and service. We were looking forward to this place being on our regular weekly list. We ordered the "chefs special" The steak was rancid tasting, it was obviously spoiled. The waitress took the food back to the kitchen charged us for the meal and gave us a complimentary piece of cake. DO NOT GO TO... More

We drive between Knoxville and Nashville often and what I always thought of Cookeville was a lot of chain restaurants across 2 exits off the interstate. I never thought stopping to eat could be a destination. The Cooke House had a great happy hour. We arrived before 6 and ordered drinks and small plates at a discount. The pear martini... More

This restaurant is in an old spacious building in downtown Cookeville. It has a modern flair decor. We had the chicken salad sandwich was served on a toasted croissant. It was made wih a dijon dressing, candied pecans and strawberries on fresh wild greens. It was served with homemade chips. The other dish we had was chicken club with tasso... More

I personally have eaten at the Cooke House once, but my son eats there often. He is very impressed with the quality of the food. It's a bit pricy for my taste, but the food is very good. My son likes it because the meals are not the ordinary run of the mill, more gourmet.

The Cooke House staff provided excellent appetizers and superb service for a celebratory reception. They made the planning easy and then followed through with a delightful afternoon.

The Cooke House has great food, great atmosphere, and great service. The seating is comfortable and it is quiet enough to converse with those at your table. Interesting options on the specials board, old favorites on the menu. The Cooke House is a special treat - right around the corner!

After reading all the great reviews we decided to check this place out for a light dinner. We had the seared ahi tuna appetizer, a fried green tomato caprese salad and a pad thai vegetarian dish. All were OK but nothing really stood out - definitely think the flavors could have been turned up a notch. The portion sizes are... More

This was a favorite until about 6 months ago! Not sure what happened but the food quality seems less.
