We went on a Friday night, having relied on Trip Advisor for the recommendation. As you can see, we gave it the maximum five stars. The food was just delicious, with much of it coming from area farms. The heirloom tomato salad was simply as...More

From the chic ambiance when we walked in to the hostess opening the door for us when we left, the experience was perfect. Delicious cocktails, exceptional food, the best service. If the house made doughnuts are on the menu, absolutely splurge on one for dessert....More

We don't go to Chattanooga often, but we're so glad that we treated ourselves to dinner at St. John's. Beautiful bar and restaurant, with historic details intact. Great cocktails, great wine list, and brilliant food. We would go back in a heartbeat.

We stopped here on our way through Chattanooga. The location was easy to get to and not directly in downtown. The service was excellent. This is a fine dining restaurant, so not somewhere to go if you want a casual atmosphere, but the food is...More

A delightful dining experience from start to finish. The only bad part :choosing what to have! Lots of locally sourced ingredients highlighted in unique and delicious combinations . Rory was attentive without hovering and we never felt rushed. Treat yourself!

We arrived on a Saturday without a reservation but were able to be seated at the bar, where we were well attended to. Enjoyed the duck and some cocktails and wine. Wish we'd had room for the huckleberry hand pie!

They know how to treat their customers. The food is excellent and the desire is very nice. Great for the holidays or a family get together.

Forgot the most important part of my answer - the owner came by and introduced himself . He seems especially nice. Bet if you contact him in advance, he will help you plan a special evening!
Do I need a reservation for the more casual side, for Saturday night Oct. 17? Party of two.

When in doubt, I would just call them and ask, but I would make a reservation. Even IF it's usually unnessary, you never know what large group might walk in and fill up the table you would have had.😉 Our dinner was a good... More

This restaurant has two "restaurant sides". One is casual dress, definitely no shorts, t-shirts; the other side is more white table service. Need to call if a jacket is required for dressy side but I think for men a nice... More
