We wanted to take our extended family who were visiting from out of town to Rodizio Grill. But straingly they didn't have power although everyone around this restaurant had power. So we decided to dine at Alleia. I had very high expectations since it was rated pretty high. Our waitress was very good. She took care of us, a group... More

Hi Joseph, On behalf of Chef Daniel and the entire Alleia team, thank you for allowing us to host you and your extended family. With so many new incredible options in town, we don't take anyone's time with us lightly. That said, I can't apologize enough that your recent visit was less than spectacular. While I'm delighted to hear you... More

I finally visited Alleia after wanting to go for more than a year. After reading stellar reviews here on TripAdvisor, I expected it to become my new go-to restaurant in Chattanooga. However, that wasn't the case. My dining experience started off good. We walked in and got a table immediately. I will say that Alleia is gorgeous, but I could... More

Hello- On behalf of Chef Daniel and the entire Alleia team, thank you for allowing us to host you. That said, I am embarrassed by your overall experience. While I won't make excuses for careless mistakes, please know that your experience is not the standard we strive daily to promote. We want to provide easy, delicious options for dinner, and... More

The atmosphere & music were great! Service was fantastic! Valet parking was a plus! The meal...Average. I was hoping for a new favorite Italian Restaurant in Chattanooga, but this was not it. We got the bacon wrapped dates, the bruschetta, the grilled romaine salad, pepperoni pizza & the spaghetti but were disappointed in the taste of the entrees. Obviously many... More

We visited this restaurant just a few days after I moved into town! We enjoyed the ambience with the dark lighting and candles. The food was excellent; we got the calamari to start and the brown butter and sage raviolis and the braised short ribs for our entrees. Wonderful restaurant for a date night!

Visited Alleia early on Saturday evening. Restaurant decor was lovely and we were seated immediately (definitely make reservations). Our drink order was taken quickly. Our main meal seemed to come out 5 minutes after ordering - almost too quickly. I would have enjoyed a second glass of wine, however, our server paid almost no attention to us after the meal... Unbelievable! What a great place. Food was phenomenal. We had the braised veal and the short rib. We also had the sweet potatoe risotto and Pana cotta for desert. Service was great and view of kitchen was entertaining to watch. Great job guys, we are hooked!

The restaurant is very nice. Our dinners were mostly nice, and the service was first class. I would recommend visitors not getting tables in the back near the restrooms. The hand dryers in the restrooms are very noisy and sound like you're are sitting on the tarmac close to a departing jet. Changing those out for paper towels would be... More

Four of us had dinner here on Saturday and were blown away by the experience. The atmosphere, service and food were top notch. Reservations were tight, but Becky got us a table on the patio! The grilled romaine salad was a new experience and absolutely delicious. The balsamic pork shoulder was tender and full with of flavor. The butternut squash... More

Just wanted everyone to know how great this restaurant is and how appreciative we are with the special food allergies/dietary help they gave us last night. My beautiful Valentine really enjoyed the risotto that they cooked especially for her. The Panna Cotta dessert was also really delicious!

Description
Thoughts of opening an additional concept in the southside of chattanooga stirred in 2004. chef lindley wanted to explore true rustic italian, but incorporate regional flavor. exceptional ingredients imported from italy and quality produce delivered from local farms make this vision a reality. situated in chattanooga's rejuvenated southside neighborhood, alleia resides in the old harrington building. the fulfillment of chef daniel lindley's dream of offering simple, italian inspired cuisine opened its doors in april 2009. chef lindley's latest venture is a unique interpretation of rustic italian cuisine, using local ingredients to create an evolving menu. alleia boasts seven types of house made pasta and a custom brick oven that reaches 750 degrees for pizza making. remarkably designed by rodney simmons of revival studio, alleia captures the warmth and comfort of a traditional trattoria, while breaking new ground in present-day restaurant design. trimmed in 300 year old wood taken from the harrington building, the space can seat 150, including a striking communal table that seats 32. the porch at alleia marries the best of al fresco and indoor dining. featuring a generous wraparound banquette, climbing jasmine and views of lookout mountain, the porch provides reprieve from the bustle of the southside. please enjoy.
