The restaurant is set back behind the Shogun restaurant off the I-65 Interstate at the Moore's Lane exit. The lodge setting with grand fireplaces and comfortable bar make this an interesting, yet inviting place. The server was friendly and the menu had many options- from steaks, salad and pasta. The portions were large and the catfish was fantastic! We were... More

I had seen pictures of this place before and thought I would like to eat here. So on a whim, when I had a chance to take my wife on a date, the Sportsman's Lodge is where we went. I do have to say as far as the atmosphere, this place is better than advertised. It was like a warm,... More

Has dinner with a group of about 60 people while we were in town. Good selection. Service was pretty good. Had quiet a few mistakes on orders but were quickly resolved. They should have added an additional server to help. Two people just couldn't quite handle it. Food was pretty good but some things did not come out hot. We... More

Husband had Caesar salad. Decent but he said it needed a bit more salt. I had a cup of lentil soup ... perfect. I could have easily eaten a bowl. I also had their house salad without cheese and their balsamic vinaigrette was flavorful. Great people. Super fast service.

This cozy restaurant looks like a north woods lodge. Perfect when there is a chill in the air. I love the big stone fireplace. It's casual. Good for families. I love the blue cheese burger paired with an ice cold beer.

Jesse at the bar will take care of you no matter what... but if you go, order the fish tacos... large fillets, blackened and tasty--really my new favorite spot for fish taco... at the sportsman's grill? Other places say they have good fish tacos... this place doesn't tout them, but they certainly deliver.

Looking for a place to eat that wasn't a chain. The Sportsman Grille serves a great hamburger, but the locally made cheesecake was the best.

My boyfriend and I have made it a habit to come to Sportsman's Grill in Cool Springs most every Sunday for Happy Hour and a late lunch. Why? Because we love the service, food, and are able to watch football, golf, etc at our leisure in the bar area. The Bartenders, Kristin and Joe are just great! I usually get... More

Jim and Jerry Chandler opened the first Sportsman's Grille restaurant in 1985 with ten items on the menu. They wanted to recreate a northern hunting lodge atmosphere with fresh, hand-packed burgers, chili, catfish and cold beer. The business and menu have since expanded with the purchase of the Gerst Haus (German-American restaurant) in 1988, opening of Sportsman's Grille in the Village in 1991 and opening of Sportsman's Lodge in 2000. Jim and Jerry's wives, children and sons-in law are now involved in the businesses, which also include Melrose Billiards (opened in 1969) and three restaurants in Evansville, Indiana. The family's passion for good food, comfortable atmosphere and family gatherings inspire them to provide a great all-around experience. The service is friendly and all food is prepared with the freshest, natural ingredients from family recipes.
