Came in as a single to sit at the bar on a Thursday evening. Clearly this bartender was in over her head. I waited along with an older couple for 10 minutes just for a beer. I ordered an IPA which as soon as I...More

The waiter was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He made excellent menu suggestions for one of us with food allergies. The steaks were perfectly done and melt in your mouth delicious.

We stayed at the Confort Inn right next to the restaurant and we decided to go there for dinner. It was a good surprise. Good steaks, good service. They do close early.

We went to Dakotah Steakhouse for our date night. The drinks were amazing, the food (filet and dry-aged ribeye) was delicious and our server, Garrett, was awesome. Thank you for a great evening :)

Long before traveling to Rapid City for a week's stay in Deadwood, I booked a table for 3. When we arrived (10 minutes earlier than the reservation) our only choice was a sunny window booth in the bar because the dining room was full. I...More

We visit your restaurant whenever we come to Rapid City and have always loved your food and service. Our recent visit left me a bit upset. When we entered we were greeted and one of the hostesses complimented me on my shirt. I said thank...More

I am so sorry that this is what you heard. I was right there and I remember this. What she said was that she CAN say the same about the tattoo. She really liked it.

Food was fine, but you can do just as well for a lot less at any typical steak house. I wouldn't go back, if I had it to do over.

This is a very stylish steakhouse just of I-90 Exit 61 (northeastern side of the city). The dark interior is centered around a huge stone fireplace and there is a high angled ceiling with numerous heavy, wooden beams. The food and service is good but...More

I like good steaks, sadly Dakotah did not provide them. The waiter was new, but did a great job. We ordered one 10 once Filet, One Bison ribeye and the Walleye. Here is how it tasted. First the Walleye, I did not complain about it....More

Thank you for your comments and concerns. You are absolutely correct that we should have bought the steaks. I am sorry my assistant did not correct the situation. Please think about visiting us again and we will do you right. Thank you.

Description
We"ve always believed that dining should be a social occasion, a time when friends, family, and coworkers can enjoy great conversation over a great meal. We believe in supporting our local artisans and staying connected to our Black Hills community. At a time when the area is growing and expanding, we're striving to keep the flavor of the region alive. Inspired by the history of this area, both the aesthetics of the building and the diversity of the menu are true to our local roots, something no nation-wide franchise can duplicate. Certainly, there are other steakhouses out there, but none like ours. From the first design to the actual construction, we've focused on creating a balance between upscale dining and a casual atmosphere-crafting a chic steakhouse where the kids are welcome too. The rest is easy-buy the very best meat possible and prepare it correctly.
