Stopped here en route to Mt Rushmore and glad we did. Kind of a quirky throwback drive-in type place. Small counter set up inside but the food is good. Service is quick and prices are fair for a touristy type place. Stop there if you're nearby.

Happened along on a really rainy day. The food was excellent ( try their 1/2 Lb burger), and the atmosphere intriguing.Service was fast and efficient, and we all read the little decades magazines while we waited. Price was fair for quality of food, and staff were friendly.

We stopped to wait out a storm on our Harley and had some ice cream and drinks. A nice little family place. The soft serve ice cream was good and they were very nice hosts as we waited out the weather. We very much appreciated their hospitality. There's a small gift shop and a gas station as well. Thank you... More

While on the prowl for a "non-chain" lunch stop while headed into Deadwood, we spied Boondocks on the way in. After spending a couple of hours in Deadwood, we were on a mission to locate Boondocks on the way back to Keystone. It looked for all the world to be an old 50ish diner. We weren't disappointed as we sat... More

These are some of the best burgers around. We stopped by and mostly just locals there. Seems like they know where to stop for a bite.

Looking at the old reviews, we expected to see quite a bit of 50's/60's nostalgia and the old car collection. Apparently the old owners went out of business last year and auctioned everything off. There are no cars, some cheap pictures of old stars and a tiny boom box playing an old rock and roll tape. The burger was just... More

I'm sorry you thought our prices were high. We charge $6.95 for a half pound hand pattied burger, they are fresh never frozen. It is an extra $.50 for deluxe. French fries are $1.89. The reason fries are not included is because it gives our customers a choice of sides. We offer sweet potato fries, onion rings, frickles, side salads... More

It was a typical diner. No fancy food. Service was good; they were staffed partly by middle or high school kids. We had ice cream only, and it was fine. Not many choices in that area, and this was one of the better options. They also have gas, a small convenience store, and a "nostalgic" gift shop.

Thank you for your review. Three of our waitresses are high school students and two of them are my granddaughters. I am so proud of how hard they have been working. More

We only stopped for ice cream, and it took soooo long just to get that! It looks like a cute place, tho i don't anything about the food, only that it was horribly slow

I'm sorry your ice cream order took so long. We have a new machine and were having problems with the adjustments. We have it figured out now and the ice cream is great. More
