Just happened to be a few miles from where we were staying. Glad we found it. Brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese and hush puppies. Smoked meat loaf with Brunswick stew. Both really good meals. Good serving sizes. Didn’t leave hungry. Really liked the vinegar...based sauce.More

I was told I could expect this best bbq in America. However the Mark was missed. On the bright side not by much! Certainly the best in SC. Beautiful and wonderfully smoked meats with exceptional service! These folks are playing up pure goodness! Gonna see...plenty of me this summer.More

Had their Hamburger with cheese and chopped brisket. (also comes with grilled onion and the other normal toppings but I chose to focus on the meat) A hamburger to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also had their Brunswick stew and fries. Both were great. To finish the meal...I had a slice of the Oreo cake.More

I am so glad Big D’s is in the neighborhood... We like to have their BBQ chicken, it’s a healthy alternative to the traditional pulled pork and brisket (though those are also delicious!). The meat has a really smoky flavor like good BBQ should. It’s...a family affair, sometimes the service is slow, I think because they get such big takeout orders sometimes and there are only so many people in the kitchen! Food is delicious and the people are really nice. I also like the fact they are honest about their sauces, they have like four kinds and they say up front one of them is Sweet Baby Ray’s!More

My wife and I had lunch here today. She had fried flounder and I had pulled pork. Both were served with two sides. Everything was quite good. The portions are generous. Prices are moderate. Wait staff was very attentive. The environment is exactly what you...expect in a BBQ eatery. If you want to enjoy a good meal in a low key environment, I highly recommend this place. btw >>>> I don't award five star reviews.More

Big D (Delano Taylor) is a Pitmaster Extraordinaire! The beef brisket is thick, juicy, tender & delicious. Having lived in Texas for more than two decades, I’ve sampled brisket lots of places. Big D’s tops them all. On our first visit we were treated like...old friends making it a fun lunch. The menu has pork and fish dishes, but my brisket came with a side of ‘homemade’ Mac & Cheese (delicious). The waitress convinced me to try the spicy Brunswick Stew for a side. I could have made that my meal. Big D’s is down home goodness. Don’t miss it!More

So my husband picked this restaurant and I’m really not into barbecue. He figured there would be other choices.! Well not really but they did have pulled chicken so was hoping that wasn’t barbecued. It was really good. They had an unusual menu of small...plate, large plate, etc.. With small plate u get one meat and one side. That’s what we got. I really wanted corn bread but that was considered a side. Would have to pay for additional side. Stuck with that. When it came I had French fried and corn muffin. I don’t think I had to pay extra for fries. Husband had beef brisket with cole slaw and baked beans. He had to pay extra for one side. This was located in the middle of nowhere but it was a very busy place with carry outs and inside customers. Very casual with plastic utensils. Was told by waitress to try the large plate next time so u can have 2 meats and 2 sides and share. Price was 30.20. Both of us liked our meals.More

We met some friends at Big D’s to try some BBQ. I had planned to have the Beef Brisket. It was Saturday evening and all the Brisket was sold out. I decided to try the BBQ pork. I talked to Big D and he said...he has been in this location starting last fall. The waitress was very friendly and made suggestions on items to order. The BBQ pork was good so we will have to return to try the BBQ Brisket.More

Not only does Big D's have great barbecue, they also have great ribs and smoked meatloaf and Steaks. It was our first time last night but it surely won't be our last. And on top of all of that big D's the nicest guy ever....If you haven't tried it put it on your to-do list. You won't regret it.More

This restaurant has been open since October 2018, but our first visit was last weekend. We were not disappointed! The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food came to the table hot (a plus for me). The six of us...ordered a variety of meats consisting of pulled pork, brisket (the favorite), ribs, pulled chicken and even hot dogs for the little ones and all were excellent! Our sides included mac n cheese (delicious), slaw, Brunswick stew (Yum), fries, beans and potato salad, and all of them were also very good. One couple ordered the sweet potato cobbler and stated it was almost as good as Mama's. The prices were reasonable and the portions were plenty. Some of us even had small carry-outs when we left. Although it is fairly new, it is already very popular. We arrived about 6:00 on Friday night and the line began to form shortly after so plan accordingly. We have certainly added Big D's to our list of regulars and I highly recommend you give it a try if in the area. I think you will be pleased.More

First time visit and plesently surprised with the price and quality of food. Staff was friendly and owner "Big D" comes around and really wants to know what you think and how he can make it better. Only open Thursday-Saturday. Worth another visit. A little...out of the way but give it a try. Nothing fancy, wear your jeans.More
