This is a quirky little diner in the downtown area. Perfect for walking to Performing Arts Center to see events/concerts. Food was well prepared - hubby had liver & onions, I had country fried steak special. Would go back again.

I had heard this was a good local place in Wahalla. So we stopped. My partner had a meal combo which he was pleased with. The combo included a small desert. Staff made us aware it was a smaller sized piece of cake. I tried...the ribeye. It was basically the same ribeye used in a ribeye sandwich. It was inexpensive, small, thin and a bit chewy. Flavor was good but a bit tough. Staff was very friendly. Meals were reasonably priced.More

Waitress was nice, We had one of the daily specials, it arrived hot and well prepared. It a good place to stop if you want something better then fast food, but don't want to go to an expensive restaurant. Good food, Good price

This little hole in the wall restaurant has a neat atmosphere & decent service, that’s the only good things I can say. I ordered the hotdog plate & onion rings. It simply was not good. The food had no flavor, the chili tasted like canned...chili 🤢 and the onion rings were very bland.More

Stopped here after a weekend of camping. So delicious! Mostly fried foods, which is exactly what we wanted. If we lived anywhere nearby I would be in here all the time! Love the vibe of the place as well.

Love Pete's, there food is great, as well as the management and the environment. Great spot in downtown Walhalla SC on Main Street next to Partners In Wine.

Over many years now I have enjoyed the home style cooking of this great restaurant. Pete's is definitely a central figure in the town of Walhalla. This restaurant has a great dining environment that is very family friendly. Pete's not only offers great country home...style foods but also great desserts. The food is always great and the service always attentive and friendly. Overall this is just a great place to eat!More

I got the burger only. You can make it a platter with two side for less than $7, but I was not that hungry. Platter also includes a drink. My burger was great. I had the chili burger. The waitress was very friendly and we...did not have to wait long for our food at all. We would definitely eat here againMore

The food was excellent! Home cooked dinner or lunch with great service. We have lived in locally in Walhalla for five years and this is our favorite restaurant. Not sure where that old review from 2013 came from but it is certainly not the experience...now.More

We had lunch here on 3/29/19 after going up to Stumphouse Mountain and to nearby waterfall. Service was good and our lunch was good too. Just the good old basics here but just what we needed after being outdoors in the morning. My son had...cheeseburger and fries and I had the grilled chicken sandwich with side salad. Reasonably priced.More

Better atmosphere than food . Unique setting. Food didn’t taste fresh. Dirty bathroom, toilet seat on floor.

From the outside, the place looks very small. But it is not. Neat décor with album covers, 33s, and 45s on the wall. Southern country cooking. I had chicken tenders, fried okra and collard greens for $6.99. The tenders were very moist and flavorful. Service...was good. Just know, Saturday night is karaoke night. Some were decent, some not so much but the crowd was kind.More

Pete's in Walhalla offers simple, tasty food along with friendly, honest service and good prices! It's a good place for family meals when we don't feel like cooking. The food is nothing fancy, but tastes great (and I'm picky because I cook most of our...meals.) For example, their hot dogs are cooked to perfection and the buns are toasted and buttered. I also highly recommend the delicious and ample bacon cheeseburger, onion rings (not at all greasy!), and their seasoned green beans. Prices are very fair. The interior is quaint, again nothing fancy but this place has become one of our hometown favorites. We love that Pete's is open seven days a week as sometimes we like to go out for dinner on Sunday and most local places are closed. We plan on trying their milkshakes next. Thanks Pete's!More
