On a recommendation, we tried Paesano's recently with some friends. We can see why it is a local favorite. The food was very authentic and of high quality. The only negative experience was the wait for getting food after we ordered was almost as long...as we waited to get seated. However, it was worth the wait. The garlic bread was outstanding. Went with the daily special of halibut over angel hair noodles and would recommend it. The bar area was small, but the drinks were made well.More

First, this is truly an Italian experience. The restaurant is huge. The parking lot is immense and full. Thought “oh no”! Worried about how they would handle everyone post COVID. No worries. 45 minute wait was 20 minutes. The staff is highly efficient, friendly, smiling,...and attentive. Ask for Lauren. The food is first class. I mean remarkable. Fabulous. I loved the stuffed shells and she said it was the best lasagna she has ever had. So, excellent service and wonderful food provides a the best experience we have had post COVID. We will dine here a couple times a month. Also, mix in some takeout.More

Loved this restaurant, but was greatly disappointed yesterday. Went for my birthday with my husband. My husband asked for a Bullitt Manhattan at the bar while waiting for a table. Very small portion in the glass and he used Rye which he did not ask...for. The first order of garlic knots were horrible, they had obviously been sitting around for awhile as they were hard and not done enough. Our waitress did bring us fresh ones. My chicken Marsala was so bland I believe the Marsala was left out. Our waitress was good, but the quality of the food is not what it use to be.More

I am very sorry your experience was not up to par. Bulleit Rye is the only Bulleit we carry as indicated on our list of liquors. The bartender would assume the rye is what you wanted since it is the only Bulleit we have. I'm...More

Very good overall. No complaints. We got there early (Saturday night) so we didn't have to wait. We didn't really care for the garlic knots. Just had an off taste to it. Not terrible, but we didn't love it. However, I did love my chicken...alfredo. It also had a slight taste off from the usual alfredo, but still very good. My husband got the chicken parm. and enjoyed it. We will definitely be back!More

The waitress was very nice and quick services. We had garlic knots for an app. They could have been warmer, don’t think they were very fresh. We had two mixed drinks that were well made. Ginger gentleman and Keowee tea. Wife ordered the egg plant...stack. Had good flavor but she thought the sauce was a little watery for her taste. I had the black and blue tortellini which was very good. Serving sizes were good. We did not leave hungry and had leftovers. If I’m the area I would recommend checking it out and I would return.More

The waiter was less than friendly. Asked if they had a house cabernet and his response was" you have the wine menu!" I ordered cheese lasagna with meat sauce there was only tomato sauce and the bottom layer of pasta was burned. My husband ordered...veal picata with lemon sauce and he said he could not taste even a hint of lemon. Other than taking the order and bringing the bill we did not see out server. Asked for salt and pepper when the food arrived by food runner-still waiting. Overall I would not go back. I could make a lasagna that feeds 6 with meat and cheese and not burned at home for less than the $20 they charged and it would taste way better.More

We recently moved to the area and a lot of people recommended this place. We were very disappointed in the food. The ambiance is fine & the service was great but the food was lacking substance and flavor. My husband got the cheese tortellini with...meat sauce and a meatball. Pasta did not seem homemade and the sauce was bland. He was up all night with heartburn tho. I ordered the chicken piccata. For $20 I expected a large portion. I had one small chicken breast in watery lemon juice with a few capers and mushy artichoke slices. Extremely disappointing. No sense in telling the server since that’s how they make it.More

I appreciate family run Italian places, and that’s just what Paesano's is. You can tell that it’s the hot ticket in town for people who are celebrating something. The lighting is very, very dim – so much so that I saw a few older folks...holding up their phone flashlights to read the menu. Dim lighting can be a mood, but it seems like they might need to pump it up maybe a notch or two. The wait staff was pleasant but slow, though this may just be a product of it being a ‘special occasion place’ in the south. Things are a bit more slow-paced than my Midwestern sensibilities are used to. We had a reasonably priced (for a restaurant) bottle of wine with our linguine with clam sauce and penne pesto with chicken. The linguine was tasty, but had far too much sauce for my husband’s taste. It was legitimately almost a soup. My pesto was pretty pedestrian, but tasted good. The rolls to start the meal were yummy, and I can absolutely get behind them being complimentary. I also really appreciate the ability to essentially make your own dish, by choosing the pasta style, sauce style and meats/fish. That’s a recipe for success, and Paesano's seems to have found it.More

We keep coming back for the garlic knots, but our last two visits were not good. My husband ordered trout and I ordered ravioli. They came out together. The first bite of mine was room temperature; the second bite was refrigerator cold. My husband had...to get up to flag the wait person down to mention my cold entre. She took it back to be reheated. Meanwhile I told my husband to eat while his was hot. He was just about done when the owner (or manager?) returned with my reheated meal. He said nothing; no "sorry", no comment at all. As a matter of fact he acted like it was my fault for asking it to be reheated when we mentioned how really cold it had been. We asked if he had taken the temperature of the dish before reheating - no response. Some restaurants might have replaced the half of a ravioli I had eaten cold, but they didn't. I did not expect a free meal or a complimentary dessert, but I did expect a sincere apology. I got nothing. The wait person did say "sorry" quickly as she took the meal to reheat. As an additional comment, the last time we were here one of us had a cold meal delivered as well which had to be reheated. I know restaurants are suffering from lack of help; but if you are open and are serving food then it needs to be hot.More

Been by this place several times to always see a packed parking lot. We are very pleased with the food, service & atmosphere at Paesano's. Plenty of parking, has a patio. I had the Ziti with meatballs & meat sauce. It was excellent the best...meatballs I have had in ages. MY wife enjoyed her entrée and said we will come back here. If you go here please ask to be seated in Joseph's area you will not be disappointed.More

Dark interior, cold with ceiling fans spinning away, cheap plastic tablecloths. If you are used to nicer Italian restaurants this will not meet your expectations. Just average Italian food like we have at home.
