This is not a fancy place to eat but we had the all you can eat bar and the food was tasty and plenty of it.

Very little to choose from at the buffet. Mashed potatoes were lumpy and so thick it was like trying to scoop ice cream. Chicken was cold. Nice people. That was the only good thing about the place.

We stopped at this Shoney's on the way home and it's a long drive. They offered a buffet which looked like Cousin Eddie's on National Lampoon Vacation...pure slop. We decided to order off menu to get something quick & easy. 45 minutes later, after watching no less than 12-14 employees shuffle as if they were on tranquilizers, text on their... More

Hi again, it's the travelin' agents from Consumers Travel World. We got into Santee at dinnertime on New Year's Day. Plenty of lodging and a few restaurants on one strip. Shoney's used to be known throughout the South as decent buffets at reasonable prices. The prices have remained fair---but the food! OMG!!! A small buffet table with OK salad fixin's... More

It was getting kind of late so my wife and I decided to bring dinner in to our hotel room. We each got a caesar salad, which was ok. She got the salmon dinner and I got the white fish. The salmon had an unusual tasting sauce that my wife did not particularly like. The white fish was too salty... More

We ate here after we arrived in South Carolina. We had a really good meal. My husband go the soup and salad bar and I had a a really good sandwich. I would definitely go back.

The food was standard Shoney's breakfast buffet, nothing special but not at all bad. But what made this place really outstanding was the service. My wife and I visited during our evacuation from the South Carolina coast during Hurricane Matthew, and we found that Santee wasn't far enough inland! On the day we visited Shoney's the power was off intermittently,... More

Worst ever. Poor management...food sits on the bar too long. Needs an overhaul!!! It used to be nice 6 years or so ago. Wait staff comes and goes...never there long enough to learn

This restaurant went the extra mile during Hurricane Matthew. We were staying in the area and lost power that Saturday. We had a house full of people and needed food for the grandkids. My husband and I went to Santee and this restaurant was open. The manager was outside the door. There was only one cook, but plenty of workers.... More

We walked in hungry and left stuffed with great, delicious food!! The seafood was fantastic - jumbo shrimp, oysters, clams, deviled crabs, fish, and a crabmeat-potato dish that was out of this world! The servers were polite and the buffet area was clean. Great experience!!
