This is down home southern cooking at its very best. The stars of this show are the pulled pork with different barbecue sauces as well as the best fried chicken you ever ate. This is buffet style at its best with shrimp and grits, okra salad, mac and cheese, tamale pie, black eyed peas, homemade potato salad, cole slaw, cucumber and tomato... More

This was a pleasant surprise for a buffet. Our family of 4 enjoyed everything we tried. We would consider it an upscale buffet with a good variety. The setting in the old buildings was authentic. We would definitely stop again when we are in the area.

We found this resturant only because there was a flier about it at our hotel. We were happy we went there and would return again. The small buildings from the 1800's contained a lot of original memorabilia. It is open only Thursdays through Sundays for lunch and dinner. We had the dinner buffet and it contained good Southern classic dishes... More

Our family visited this restaurant on the advice of locals and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed good old fashioned cooking to include BBQ and banana pudding! Tons of local flair/news posted throughout the establishment to add to great ambiance.

On our way to Hilton Head we got off the interstate and noticed a sign to the Lone Star. After driving a mile or two, we found the rustic, but charming, buffet restaurant and had lunch. The buffet was fantastic. Authentic southern food, friendly staff, great desserts; our family (of five) thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Love this place. Good southern cooking served buffet style in restored rustic building. Excellent collards, green beans, sweet potato, rutabaga, pulled pork, fried chicken, bread and banana pudding, etc. Just about everything you would expect around grandma's table in the South. Well worth the ten minute trip off I-95.

Right on Santee State Park Rd., this place is easy to find. This is a store and restaurant housed in historic buildings. Enter through the store door, which is where you will purchase your food for take out or buffet eat in. This is good SC home cooking. In season, special events are held here, and you can reserve the... More

This is a Buffett style restaurant with a nice at home feel. Fried chicken, pork, vegetables and desert . The food was great and the staff was very friendly and eager to make their customers happy. Great place for families to eat and enjoy each other. Would have liked to see BBQ chicken on the Buffett.
